The winners of the Venice Film Festival 2021 were announced by four international juries. Read on to find out who brought home the awards

The 78th Venice Film Festival has wrapped up after 10 days of screenings. The official awards were announced by four international juries during the award ceremony.

Oscar-winning director, Bong Joon-ho chaired the jury which included Saverio Costanzo, Virginie Efira, Cynthia Ervo, Sarah Gadon, Alexander Nanau and Chloé Zhao, who viewed all 21 films in competition and decided who will bring home the Golden Lion, Silver Lion and other awards.

Meanwhile, the Orizzonti jury is led by Bosnian director, Jasmila Žbanić and comprised of Mona Fastvold, Shahram Mokri, Josh Siegel and Nadia Terranova. A total of 19 feature-length and 12 short films vied for the awards.

The Lion of the Future “Luigi De Laurentiis” Venice Award for a Debut Film is chaired by Italian director Uberto Pasolini and comprised of Martin Schweighofer and Amalia Ulman. Finally, the Venice VR Expanded jury is led by director Michelle Kranot and included Maria Grazia Mattei and Jonathan Yeo.
