The star-studded cast—including Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande—will arrive for the region’s biggest cinematic event as Resorts World Sentosa confirms its position as a destination for world-class entertainment

The glittering final chapter of the global cinematic phenomenon, Wicked: For Good, is set for its Asia-Pacific debut, with Universal Studios Singapore (USS) at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) proudly serving as the host. The premiere, happening on November 13, marks a significant coup for the Lion City, making it the fourth stop on the film’s five-city global tour.

The occasion promises to be a dazzling affair, transforming the theme park into the wondrous land of Oz for the film’s star-studded arrival. Attendees can anticipate seeing the cast walk the iconic Yellow Brick Road, led by director Jon M. Chu. The red carpet is set to feature Hollywood heavyweights, including Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo, Oscar nominee Ariana Grande, Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, and pop culture icon Jeff Goldblum.

A legacy of cinematic success

The Singapore premiere arrives with immense anticipation, following the worldwide success of last year’s Wicked sensation, which became the most successful Broadway film adaptation of all time, securing ten Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture.

Wicked: For Good concludes the untold story of the witches of Oz, based on the beloved stage musical. The plot centres on the escalating conflict between Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), now demonised as The Wicked Witch of the West, and Glinda (Ariana Grande), who has become the glamorous symbol of Goodness in Emerald City. The final chapter focuses on whether their singular friendship can withstand their divergent paths and change the fate of Oz.

The RWS Experience

The evening at RWS is organised around a series of special features, including a handprint ceremony and culminating in the screening at the Pantages Hollywood Theatre. For dedicated fans, an exclusive event will take place at Weave, RWS’s lifestyle and community space, serving as a prelude to the main premiere.

Ms Lee Shi Ruh, chief executive officer of RWS, positioned the event as a testament to the resort’s status, noting: “Bringing together the cinematic glamour of Hollywood and the immersive world of Universal Studios Singapore, this event stands as a testament to RWS as a premier destination for world class entertainment and unforgettable moments. The premiere marks a spectacular finale to a year of exciting new openings at the resort.”

Guests at Universal Studios Singapore will have the chance to witness the cast arrive on the Yellow carpet. A Universal Studios Singapore Premiere Day Special for November 13, 2025 is now available in limited quantity, and includes Universal Studios Singapore food and beverage vouchers and retail vouchers.
