Here’s what you can expect at the newest music festival of the year
In a celebration of sports and music, the Badminton Asia Closing Ceremony KWAVE Music Festival brings together a lineup of artists from South Korea and the Philippines for the biggest ‘sportainment event’ in the country. Aiming to break cultural barriers, the music festival hopes to unite the two through exciting music and delectable food against the backdrop of a thrilling tournament. The event is taking place at the New Clark City Stadium in the heart of Clark, Pampanga, on May 11, 2024.

Above The Boyz
K-pop groups fromis_9 and The Boyz, are flying in from South Korea to perform some of their hit songs like DM, LOVE BOMB, Right Here, The Stealer, and plenty more to the stage.
The 11-man boyband, The Boyz, will be making their highly anticipated return after visiting the country in December 2023 for the Asia Artist Awards, where they won Best Singer. The all-girl group, fromis_9, on the other hand, will be having their first performance in the Philippines.

Above YGIG
P-pop groups PLUUS and YGIG will be playing alongside them, so expect songs like Shining Star, Amigo, Shaba Shaba, and BB, among others.
The six-member ensemble PLUUS debuted in March 2023 with the release of their mini-album +.Y.M. As one of the P-pop scene’s rising stars, they have garnered thousands of fans in just a year. The five-member girl group YGIG (originally seven members) debuted in November 2022 with the single Shaba Shaba. With their name standing for “You Go, I Go,” the group seeks to inspire their fans through the representation of Filipino women on the world stage.
If you’re looking for more artists, the event will give you a glimpse of more stars! A second wave of K-pop and P-pop artists will be announced soon.
“KWAVE is a music festival event that creates space for the cultural exchange of Asian countries, especially South Korea and the Philippines—a music festival where artists from these countries get to share one spectacular stage,” SBTown wrote in a press statement.
