The Philippines’ biggest music and hot air balloon festival is coming up. Do you have everything ready?
After the massive success of the Aurora Music Festival last year—bringing together more than 150,000 attendees—EP!C Events was inspired by the return of the concert scene in the Philippines. This year, they’re promising an even bigger celebration of OPM with a new lineup of modern and classic artists against the backdrop of hot air balloons decorating the Clark skyline. But just like any event, there are do’s and don’ts. Come to the Aurora Music Festival prepared with Tatler’s beginner’s guide.

Dress comfortably
The entire festival will be outdoors, so you’ll be doing a lot of walking under the sun. While overshirts and jackets may complete your outfit, it might be best to forego that this time. Make sure you also don’t wear heels or any shoes you haven’t broken in. Every section is standing, so seats will be limited.
Essentials to bring
First and foremost, bring sunblock and a small umbrella. You’ll face the summer heat all day, and getting sunburned is not how you want to remember the event. Portable fans are also great for cooling off. If you want to get there early to beat the lines, bringing a picnic blanket is ideal to let you save a spot with a good view of the stage.
Extra clothes are also essential to any outdoor event. The weather might get unpredictable, but in any case—rain or shine—get extra prepared with a change of clothes.

What not to bring
Make sure you leave your tumblers, plastic bottles, big bags, and long umbrellas in the car or at home as there won’t be any baggage counters during the event. For the photographers and content creators, drones, professional cameras, and selfie sticks aren’t allowed inside, so you’ll have to make do with your phones.
Accommodation
If you plan on going both days, consider booking an Airbnb or hotel nearby as traffic will be extremely heavy on the way. Thankfully, there are plenty of affordable and luxury options in Clark Freeport Zone and Clark Global City. Make sure you book early to secure your accommodation!
Celebrating the golden age of OPM, the first day spotlights many of this generation’s OPM artists. Music enthusiasts can expect to hear SB19, December Avenue, Moira Dela Torre, Juan Karlos, Adie, and Cup of Joe.
The second day is all about the established icons who have cemented themselves into the classics of OPM. Bands like Parokya ni Edgar, Kamikazee, Orange & Lemons, and The Itchyworms will perform alongside the biggest rock stars like Andrew E and Rico Blanco.
