Asian excellence was at full display at the red carpet premiere of Apple TV+’s upcoming epic series Pachinko with Lee Min-ho, Ashley Park and more in attendance
Pachinko, the highly-anticipated epic series from Apple TV+ held its premiere at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles. The series stars Academy Award-winning actress Youn Yuh-jung, newcomer Minha Kim, Korean superstar Lee Min-ho and more.
Premiering globally on March 25, Pachinko begins with a forbidden love story that crescendos into a saga that journeys between Korea, Japan and America to tell an epic story of war, peace, loss, loss and triumph.

Soo Hugh

Soo Hugh is the showrunner, executive producer and series creator for Pachinko. She’s also an acclaimed producer and writer, having worked on The Killing (2011) and Under the Dome (2013).

Mari Yamamoto

Mari Yamamoto plays Hana, the daughter of Etsuko (Kaho Minami). Her other acting credit includes Kate (2021) and Story Game (2020).
Justin Chon

Justin Chon is one of Pachinko’s directors alongside Kogonada. He’s also one of the executive producers. In addition to directing three films so far—Gook (2017), Miss Purple (2019) and Blue Bayou (2021)—Chon is also an actor.

Minha Kim

Minha Kim plays teenage Sunja in Pachinko which is also her TV show debut. Kim has only one other acting credit to her name which is the short film Main Street (2020).

Han Jun-woo

Han Jun-woo plays Yoseb, Sunja’s brother-in-law. He has appeared in Korean dramas such as Be Melodramatic (2019), My Unfamiliar Family (2020) and the movie Extreme Job (2019). Han also had a brief role in Gangnam Blues (2015) which stars his Pachinko co-star Lee Min-ho.
Abraham Lim and Ally Maki

Abraham Lim is a film director, screenwriter and editor. He’s best known for directing, writing and acting in Roads and Bridges (2000).
Meanwhile, Ally Maki is an actress known for her role as Jess Kato in the comedy series Wrecked (2016). She also appeared in Dear White People (2017) and Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger (2018).
Jimmy O Yang
