She received another nomination in 1997 for her role in the HBO film If These Walls Could Talk, which she executive produced.

During Moore’s acceptance speech, she reflected on some of the challenges she faced throughout her career, including being labelled a ‘popcorn actress’ by a producer—a comment that left her grappling with insecurity.

She shared, “In those moments when we don’t think we are smart enough, or pretty enough, or skinny enough, or pretty enough, or successful enough or basically just not enough I had a woman say to me ‘just know you will never be enough. But you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.’”
