While Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tie the knot at New York's Madison Square Garden, a historic 105-year-old gem next door to the pop star’s famous Rhode Island sanctuary has hit the market for US$12.2 million
While Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce dominate headlines with their massive wedding celebrations in New York this July 4th weekend, the spotlight is also shining bright on their beloved Watch Hill, Rhode Island enclave. A historic 105-year-old home next to Swift’s famed coastal mansion on Watch Hill, Rhode Island, is on the market for the first time in 90 years. It has eight bedrooms and six bathrooms, spanning 4,645 sq feet of interior space across two houses and a separate garage with guest quarters, on approximately 1 hectare parcel of land.
Described in its listing as “a property so private that few people actually know that it exists”, it was once the site of Atlantic House, a 19th-century seaside hotel. Typical of Taylor Swift’s New England neighbourhood, it offers “a front row seat to every stunning sunset”.

Swift’s home, known as High Watch today, also has a remarkable history. It once belonged to the late American oil heiress Rebekah Harkness; the home, originally named Holiday House and its former chatelaine inspired Swift’s 2020 songThe Last Great American Dynasty. The pop icon is famous for throwing star-studded US Independence Day soirées on July 4th at the property. Dubbed “Taymerica,” past celebrity guests have included the likes of Gigi Hadid and Blake Lively. With wedding bells ringing this weekend, Swift and Kelce are reportedly set to make the historic estate their primary residence.
Ocean House, the five-star hotel where the superstar couple will reportedly host their wedding, is just steps away from both properties.
