In Kuala Lumpur’s Taman Duta, BRDB’s Eden Taman Duta presents an elegantly crafted show unit built for multigenerational living
Situated within a rare 12.25-acre freehold enclave in Taman Duta, one of Kuala Lumpur’s most quietly prestigious addresses adjacent to the Parliament precinct, Eden represents more than two decades of planning by BRDB, a developer whose projects have shaped some of the city’s most enduring residential addresses. The development is accessed by Jalan Gallagher and conceived as a private sanctuary where nature, light, and multigenerational living inform every design decision. Its 22 exclusive duplex penthouses sit among 146 units across eight low-rise towers, all slated for completion in 2030.

Eden Taman Duta’s show unit spans 11,141 square feet across four-plus-two bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a powder room. The show unit was conceived through a collaboration between BRDB Deputy CEO Yasmin Khan, the BRDB design team, and SPACE Group, with the design brief and creative direction developed in-house by BRDB.
Space planning and furniture

The spatial layout was built around the furniture selections, with proportions and circulation designed to serve each piece. The entry gallery opens with travertine running from floor to ceiling before giving way to the formal living areas. The Florius sofa by Maxalto anchors the room through its fabric weight and finish, while the Acerbis Maxwell table in Matt Alpi green marble introduces colour against a neutral architectural palette. The Giorgetti Hug armchairs, carved from Canaletto walnut, read as much as sculptural objects as they do seating.

Phillip Jeffries linen wall finishes carry a consistent warmth across rooms, with Molteni&C wardrobes continuing the material language into the private spaces. On the master suite balcony, Poliform’s Ketch outdoor collection, inspired by nautical forms and making its debut in the Kuala Lumpur market, extends the scheme outdoors, alongside the B&B Italia outdoor collection in the penthouse pavilion.

Craftsmanship and design elements

Fixtures and finishes draw on long-established European manufacturers: Poggenpohl for kitchen systems, Gaggenau for appliances, Villeroy & Boch for bathroom fixtures, and Hansgrohe for fittings. Custom joinery and curated artwork bring individual character to the interiors. Bespoke elements were developed through a collaborative process between BRDB and SPACE Group, with spatial planning, material selection, lighting, and furniture considered together from the outset.

Art curation

Glas Italia’s Maestrale mirror brings an unconventional quality to the bedroom, while Fendy Zakri’s painting offers a local counterpoint at the entry gallery. Selections across the unit favour pieces that hold up to close attention over time, consistent with BRDB’s approach to interiors designed for multigenerational living.
