Nestled in the charming Guillemard neighbourhood, this four-storey inter-terrace house by EightyTwo is a masterclass in sophisticated home living
Blending heritage charm with contemporary lines, the design of this four-level inter-terrace home by EightyTwo centres on creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor environments, accentuated by a striking light well and a flourishing green wall.
“Our aim was to evoke the senses and create a sanctuary that invites nature into the heart of the home,” shares the EightyTwo team. The botanical feature enhances the home’s visual appeal and cultivates a tranquil atmosphere, making it a restful haven from the bustling city outside.
Bridging the past and the present, this post-war home thoughtfully preserves some of its original features, such as a vintage signboard and classic windows, as tributes to its heritage. “We believe in respecting the history of a space while integrating contemporary elements that enhance its functionality,” the team explains. These historical elements are complemented by sleek, modern additions, including a stylish island table and a state-of-the-art coffee machine, creating a harmonious balance that celebrates both tradition and innovation.
The design also showcases carefully curated materials that reflect both the history of the home and the modern lifestyle of its inhabitants. The interplay of textures and finishes enhances the aesthetics while ensuring that the home remains functional and inviting, elevating its overall appeal and making it a true reflection of contemporary living.

A striking feature of this home is the cascading green wall in the central light well, which brings nature into the heart of the residence. “This green wall serves as a living artwork, changing with the seasons and providing a constant reminder of the beauty of nature,” the design team notes. This element seamlessly blends the outdoor environment with the interior spaces, fostering a tranquil atmosphere and enhancing the visual appeal of the property.
The thoughtful integration of natural elements creates a dynamic living environment that promotes well-being and a deep connection to the surroundings. The green wall not only enhances the look of the home but also contributes to improved air quality and a sense of calm. This connection to nature is further emphasised with large windows that frame views of the greenery outside, allowing natural light to flood the interiors and create a warm, inviting ambience.
The visually stunning residence also engages the senses through a carefully curated selection of materials. The stately appeal of stone and the inviting warmth of wood translate to a rich sensorial spatial experience. A highlight is the Hinoki wood bathtub, revered in Japanese culture for its soothing properties and natural fragrance, transforming bathing into a serene ritual that promotes relaxation and rejuvenation.
This spatial experience is further enhanced by scents. “Our collaboration with brands such as Frama and Culti Milano infuses the home with enchanting fragrances, evoking calm and relaxation,” the team explains. These carefully selected scents elevate the living experience, making every moment a multisensory delight and enriching the overall ambience.

“Every detail has been meticulously considered to ensure that the home looks beautiful while also making one feel comfortable and welcome,” shares the team. The use of organic materials and thoughtful design choices fosters an environment that encourages relaxation and mindfulness.
The kitchen epitomises elegance, blending artistry with functionality. A meticulously designed island serves as a centrepiece for entertainment while also offering practical use in a fully functional space for everyday meals. “We wanted to create a space that serves as the heart of the home, where families can gather and create lasting memories,” says the team.
The inter-terrace house stands as a beacon of modern living in a heritage-rich neighbourhood, showcasing how contemporary design can honour the past while embracing the future. It is a space that invites you to experience the beauty of understated luxury, where every detail has been carefully crafted to create a serene and sophisticated living environment.
