“Our homes are full of expressive elements that express our individuality. However, home appliances are still largely designed with a standardised approach,” shared Samsung Philippines President, Minsu Chu. “If no two homes are the same, why should our appliances be? This was the simple question that sparked the idea for Samsung’s Bespoke.”
He went on to say, “Our journey to elevate the design of home appliances [begins] in the kitchen, a central space for many social activities in the home. The refrigerator is often the most visible and most used appliance in this social space, and yet, its design has largely been in stasis for many years.”

While the Bespoke Refrigerator comes in neutral colours and finishes such as the Cotta White and Cotta Charcoal once you buy them in-store, you can customise the door panel with a glass panel that is sold separately. The available glass panel colours in the Philippine market are Glam Glass Pink, White, Navy, and Satin Glass Sky Blue—though more can definitely be expected in the future.

To get a taste of this experience before you ultimately make the decision to take a new Samsung refrigerator home, Samsung Philippines recently unveiled the “Design Your Cool” roving exhibit at Central Square in BGC held last April 29 to May 1.
“The core of the Bespoke philosophy is about creating home experiences that are tailored to each user. To achieve this, we decided to hold our first Bespoke Roving exhibit in the Philippines to engage with our consumers directly [and] foster meaningful interactions and dialogue,” Samsung Philippines Consumer Electronics Division head, Ramon Medina, told Tatler during the event.

He added, “We really felt it was very important [to hold this exhibit] because it’s all about [offering] customisation. For the first time, [consumers] have a chance to customise the way their refrigerator looks. [Normally] when you buy a ref, whatever colour you choose in the store will be the colour permanently. But in our case, if you decide to remodel [your home], you can actually change the panels in and out. The beauty of this ref type is that you can always customise its theme to your kitchen anytime, such as changing [the design] for Christmas for example!”

Besides being equipped with state-of-the-art durability features and energy-efficient technologies, the Bespoke Refrigerator sure makes quite the sustainable, long-term investment for its innately bespoke quality. Chu lastly assured Tatler that the Bespoke Refrigerator marks only the beginning of a long line of inventive home appliances from Samsung. He said, “With consumers looking for appliances that go far beyond basic functionality, we have entered a customer-driven era in which users prioritise personalisation and experience. For as long as consumers want appliances that are tailored to their unique lifestyles, the principles of ‘bespoke’ and ’flexibility’ will remain at our core as we drive future innovations.”
