Luxury German brand Villeroy & Boch’s new premium Conum tap range is a masterclass in design and functionality
When it comes to bathroom design, the addition of a sculptural faucet to a washbasin or tub can effortlessly elevate the aesthetic of the space. For a unique option, look no further than luxury German brand Villeroy & Boch’s new Conum range of taps to bring an artistic touch to your sinks, shower stalls and bathtubs.
A trusted specialist in premium bathroom products, the brand worked with award-winning designer Christian Haas to create this stylish line of covetables, which melds delicate curves and a sense of solidity. Known for his playful blend of minimalism and originality, Haas has crafted a striking faucet that is set to become an instant classic.
“Combining different volumes and levels produces surprising shapes that delicately interact with the room,” says Haas, commenting on the design.

an elegantly understated design
A slim and straight water spout melds into a strong conical body, with distinctive lines effortlessly forming a harmonious visual composition. This contrast between the linear and rounded elements of the faucet draws the eye while appearing exquisitely understated.
The Conum taps also showcase mastery in workmanship with an innovative operating lever. When the tap is turned on, the lever glides instead of tipping, which eliminates the need for a gap at its base, hence ensuring a subtle design that will stand the test of time.

Villeroy & Boch has also incorporated sophisticated technology to ensure maximum hygiene when the taps are in use. They are built with an integrated laminar aerator to produce a quiet, clear and virtually splash-free jet of water. This minimises the production of aerosols, which could spread disease-causing bacteria.
There are several designs in the Conum range, including washbasin taps and a freestanding version for the bathtub. To match a variety of bathroom designs and decor schemes, the taps come in
four finishes: chrome, brushed matte nickel, brushed gold and matte black.
For a fashion-forward bathroom, pair the Conum faucets with the Antheus ceramic collection, which is also designed by Haas. In this combination, the unique lines of the Conum tap will emphasise the balanced proportions and geometric contours of the ceramics to create a beautiful bathroom that exudes pure style.
