Not A Hotel’s new mobility service, Not A Garage, applies the same shared-ownership model to bespoke luxury transport
Known for its sleek, design-forward properties developed in collaboration with renowned architectural firms and designers such as Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), Snøhetta, and Nigo–Not A Hotel is constantly pushing the boundaries of how we think about hospitality and property ownership through a flexible model that blends exclusive rental and ownership of private residences scattered across Japan.
Now, the brand is expanding its vision beyond architectural properties with Not A Garage–an innovative mobility service that revolutionises how members travel between destinations, providing a seamless lifestyle experience where the journey becomes as remarkable as the destination itself.

The curated mobility platform applies the same shared-ownership concept as the company’s residences: instead of purchasing a single property or vehicle, members invest into a portfolio of extraordinary assets, gaining flexible access to a diverse range of helicopters, yachts, and more.
ACH130 Aston Martin edition helicopter
Operated in Japan by AirX, the ACH130 Aston Martin edition helicopter offers members a design-driven experience in the sky–ideal for swift transfers between city life and tranquil retreat destinations.
Developed through a collaboration between Airbus and Aston Martin, the helicopter features a streamlined silhouette and hand-applied paint in sophisticated shades such as xenon grey and ultramarine black–colour accents inspired by Aston Martin’s sports cars–and subtle wing badges embedded into the bodywork.
The sleek design narrative unfolds further within the cabin, where premium upholstered leather with contrast stitching mirrors that in the brand’s iconic sports cars. Meanwhile, Alcantara headlining, brogue detailing, and tactile finishes transform what is usually a utilitarian interior into something resembling a private lounge in the sky.
Sunreef 80 Power “Not A Garage” edition
Custom-built exclusively for Not A Garage and marking the model’s Japanese debut, the Sunreef 80 Power catamaran–manufactured by Polish company Sunreef Yachts–offers spatial generosity that feels more like a floating residence than a conventional yacht.
The 23.8 metre-long vessel accommodates up to 42 guests and comes equipped with a salon featuring a bar counter, an outdoor terrace with a jacuzzi, a rooftop terrace with a ten-seater dining table, as well as an over-water pool–the “Seapool”–that extends the living space over the water.
