Wonyoung of Korean girl group Ive recently made headlines for purchasing a luxury villa within Seoul’s UN Village—an exclusive, affluent residential area in Hannam-dong, Seoul, often preferred by celebrities

K-pop It girl and Ive member Jang Won-young, better known mononymously as Wonyoung, recently made headlines with reports that she acquired a residence in Seoul’s prestigious UN Village. The property, valued at 13.7 billion won (US$9.3 million), was reportedly purchased entirely in cash.

According to real estate documents and records from the Supreme Court Registry, Wonyoung secured a 2,626 sq ft unit within Lucid Haus, an understated yet exceptionally high-end development situated in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu. The enclave is regarded as one of Seoul’s most desirable addresses, known for its privacy, meticulous security and proximity to the capital’s diplomatic and cultural institutions.

The transaction was completed in March, with the transfer of ownership finalised in October. For a young artist still at the height of her early career, the purchase signals both a sophisticated long-term investment and a quiet assertion of her place among the country’s cultural elite.

Lucid Haus first went on the market in 2007 and was developed by Daelim D&I. The apartment complex was home to actress Kim Tae-hee, who lived here from 2012 to 2018 before her marriage to singer and actor Rain.

One of the most exclusive properties within UN Village, Lucid Haus comprises 15 units spread across two buildings, and each apartment has access to a private elevator. Thanks to its location, each unit within Lucid Haus boasts enviable views of the Han river and Namsan.

While Wonyoung hasn’t publicly revealed her apartment, video tours of previously transacted units offer a glimpse into what her home may look like. A walkway from the private elevator leads into a spacious living room, which opens up to stunning views of the surrounding lush greenery.

According to the floor plan, Wonyoung’s unit may be a Type A apartment with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a walk-in wardrobe, a study, a kitchen with an attached pantry and maid’s room, utility and storage rooms, a living room, a dining room and a terrace.
