Both Opera and Camparino showcase Barovier & Toso's signature rostrato technique, a challenging glassmaking method that involves meticulously pinching the glass with an iron fork to create distinctive spikes.

Invented by Ercole Barovier in 1938 and consists of “freehand” shaping of Venetian Crystal to obtain a continuous series of multi-facetted prisms, this patented technique serves as a hallmark of luxury and authenticity in the lighting world. The crystal part of both designs are available in no less than 13 colours for ultimate personalisation.

The lamps cater to a discerning clientele, with Ong noting their popularity in wine lounges, dens, and studies. However, their appeal is not confined to any specific demographic or room type. The Opera lamp, with its dramatic arched handle, brings a contemporary yet timeless elegance to any space. As Ong aptly puts it, these table lamps are a distillation of the very best of Murano’s art of glassmaking. “It is like having a piece of history right there, the best of Murano glass right next to you on your table,” he says.
