Singaporean designer Colin Seah and more leading talents team up with Cosentino to create beautiful ideas for the bathroom—take a closer peek here at these enviable designs

Renowned Spanish company Cosentino has transformed the design and architectural industry with its innovative surface solutions for over four decades, tapping into its design and technological know-how to create good-looking, sturdy claddings that imbue the sector with creative new possibilities. Founded as a humble marble-processing workshop in Macael, Spain in 1979, the family-run business made great strides in establishing itself as a trailblazer in the manufacturing and distribution of revolutionary surfaces.

Recognising the bathroom’s evolution from its previous role as a strictly functional, hidden space to a pampering zone crucial to our daily well-being, Cosentino has launched C Bath, a new brand that seeks to showcase the limitless ways in which its products can be used to reinterpret contemporary bathrooms.

Homeowners can expect large-format wall and floor claddings with minimal joints, colours and textures that strike a perfect balance, and minimalist washbasins and shower trays, all produced using state-of-the-art materials such as Silestone, Dekton and Sensa.

Iconic pieces and Cosentino’s surface applications such as cladding, flooring, countertops, shower trays, washbasins and furniture come together to form a complete environment, a calming personal space that the brand calls “a bathroom to be lived in”. Washbasins and countertops feature a wide variety of designs and options, while shower trays sport non-slip finishes such as sandblasted Silestone, Dekton Grip and Grip+.

To display the supreme versatility of its new C Bath offerings, Cosentino presents The Bathelier, an assortment of environments and pieces created by illustrious designers to visualise the bathroom of the future. One of the creative talents shortlisted for this collaboration is Colin Seah, design director and founder of Singapore-based studio Ministry of Design. Seah drew upon his radically innovative approach to design and architecture to conceive The Cave and The Collage, two concepts that embody his notion of a tailored bathroom.

The dramatic Cave concept, built upon the premise that personal hygiene habits are primitive rituals intrinsic to all humans, features sloping walls in moody earth tones and a large window at its rear that floods the space with natural light. The Reflection washbasin, integrated with the Dekton Laurent surface, takes centrestage in the middle of this space, appearing almost altar-like with its placement and voluminous form.

The Collage concept embraces various contrasting colours and a mix of materials to form a happy balance signifying the diversity of nature, and the relationship between order and chaos. In this contemporary space, the Simplicity washbasin and the Gocce shower tray harmonise with the Dekton and Silestone cladding; an extra-long countertop showcases the sizeable dimensions of the Silestone tiles, which are ideal for larger bathrooms.
