Singapore’s most beloved design and shopping event Boutique Fairs returns this weekend, November 22 to 24, at the F1 Pit Building with an added mission to make local design more accessible to people by offering a platform for Singapore’s rising designers to reach out to a wider audience.

This Gifting Edition of the fair introduces a refreshed brand lineup including a host of new-to-the-fair established design brands and a showcase curated in collaboration with DesignSingapore council. This year also sees an expanded family-friendly area, new lounge spots, and a range of immersive wellness experiences. Here are our picks:

One of Singapore’s stalwart high-end design-led furniture retailers, Grafunkt was founded by Jefery Kurniadidjaja and Nathan Yong in 2009. It celebrated its 15th anniversary this year by opening a four-storey new showroom in the Joo Chiat area. Its booth at Boutique Fairs is replete with home accessories, comprising colour crates, tote bags, portable lamps, table clocks, vases, side tables, and cushions from brands like Hay and Louis Poulsen. “Everything and anything you can think of to make your space a little brighter and colourful!” says Yong.
2. Carl Hansen & Søn
Danish legacy brand Carl Hansen & Søn—one of the sponsors of this year’s Tatler Homes Design awards— joins Boutique Fairs for the first time, showcasing its iconic Danish furniture heritage alongside a stunning collection of home accessories. Renowned for producing classic pieces like the Wishbone chair, the brand highlights favourites such as the RF200 table lamp and the chic and functional leather doorstop, blending elegance with practicality in every piece.

One out of the three studios featured in the designer showcase organised by DesignSingapore Council and conceptualised by Outer Edits, Studio Gin&G was founded by designers Georgina Foo and Genevieve Ang, who work in the fields of industrial design, resident dwellings, and commercial interiors.
Committed to the art of storytelling through space, the studio seizes every opportunity to celebrate the uniqueness of each project through the creation of experimental artworks and design objects. Highlights of the duo’s showcase include Chance, light sculptures fashioned out of wasted sheet glass, and Chai and Table series made of ethically sourced timber and recycled compressed egg shells.

Decibelist, a Singaporean brand known for handcrafted speakers, has teamed up with Scent Journer, its neighbour in past and present Boutique Fairs, to create an innovative product that merges sound and scent. This collaboration introduces a combined scent diffuser and speaker in a single box, enhancing living spaces with both auditory and olfactory experiences.
Jakarta-born, Bandung-raised and Singapore-based, Asih Jenie trained in Visual Communication Design at Bandung Institute of Technology and Architecture at Parahyangan Catholic University. She brings both rigour and heart to design journalism, infused with a distinct Southeast Asian voice.
As a child, she doodled on the edges of her schoolbooks and never outgrew her fascination with all things well-made and well-told. Her 15-year career spans editorial roles and bylines in Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Australia, across spatial design titles such as Dwell Asia, Cubes, Design Anthology, Habitus Living, and Home & Decor.
After a brief stint in public relations, she returned to publishing in 2023 to lead Tatler Homes Singapore, where she continues to tell stories about how we shape the spaces that shape us.
