Meanwhile, MO Bar offers four specially crafted cocktails presented in Baccarat glassware—two crafted by the mixologists at MO Bar and two by the bartenders from Baccarat’s B Bar in Tokyo.
Brainchild of Tokyo’s Hidenori Fukuda, Matcha Fiora is a green tea-based adaptation of an Old Fashioned, with earthy matcha complementing rum and cherry liqueur. The Nöel Orange, also by Fukuda, combines the tangy sweetness of Grand Marnier with warm Christmas spices, topped with champagne for a celebratory finish.

Baccarat is synonymous with luxury. What are some lesser-known facts about the brand?
Many people don’t realise that Baccarat is named after a small town in France, not a person or the casino game. The town, with just 3,000 residents, has been the heart of our crystal production for 260 years. Visitors can even take a train to Baccarat and walk into our historic factory.
You have an impressive background in luxury branding, having worked with brands like Cartier, Goyard, and Rimowa. What sets Baccarat apart from other brands?
Baccarat is a lifestyle brand deeply rooted in collaboration. We’ve partnered with a range of entities, from Guerlain to Supreme, and artists like Marcel Wanders. These collaborations allow us to stay relevant while honouring our craftsmanship. Recently, we’ve collaborated with Hello Kitty to engage with a younger audience, and we’re planning exciting projects with Asian artists.

How have younger generations reshaped the luxury market?
Younger customers approach luxury differently. They seek personal connections to brands, valuing authenticity over mere prestige. At Baccarat, we’ve adapted by offering collaborations that speak to their tastes, like our Bearbrick series, while maintaining our heritage of excellence.
Baccarat is often associated with gifting. What products are most popular?
Gifting is central to our brand. Iconic pieces like our whisky tumblers and crystal vases are always favourites. For those seeking a more personal touch, decorative items or bespoke collaborations make for unforgettable gifts.

What can we expect from Baccarat in the coming year?
Lighting will be a major focus in 2025. We’re exploring new technologies and designs that push the boundaries of what’s possible while staying true to our craftsmanship. Expect some exciting launches at events like Salone del Mobile in Milan.
