Marcel Wanders collaborates with Alessi to showcase his third season of 'Dressed Collection' with an animation video.
Design magnate Marcel Wanders has revealed the third season of his "Dressed Collection" with luxury Italian brand Alessi in a cute animated video.
The "Dressed for breakfast" and "Dressed in wood" lines feature quirky breakfast pieces and "holistic tableware solutions" for the kitchen.
Highlights include an egg cup available in white porcelain or black, white, yellow and red thermoplastic resin, a shell-cracking hammer and multi-purpose plates featuring Wanders' "lace" pattern.
A porcelain creamer, sugar bowl and butter dish, stainless steel butter knife, macchiato spoon and jam tray comprising three different porcelain lidded areas make up the collection, alongside a series of biscuit jars.
Each of the "Dressed in wood" pieces is fabricated using a wood-cut laser technique. The collection includes a cheese board, two rectangular trays, two serving boards, a centerpiece bowl and a lidded cake stand.
Dutch designer Wanders first started the collaboration with Alessi in 2011. The collection will go on show at Maison&Objet Paris from January 23-27.
