Aeon, an original brand by homegrown lighting company Sol Luminaire, excels in creating designer fixtures specially tailored to Singaporean homes

Lighting brand Aeon prides itself on a deep understanding of Singaporean homeowners’ needs, which drives its research and development efforts. “Recognising that homeowners are the primary users of our products, we learn from their perspectives and preferences,” says Poh Cheng Kit, senior marketing executive at Sol Luminaire. This approach ensures that new technologies and solutions are seamlessly integrated into everyday life, enhancing the overall home experience.

In Singapore, where space is always at a premium, the need for compact and efficient lighting solutions is paramount. Aeon addresses this with its Isa V3 and Isa V3 Mini series. “These models are intentionally designed to be discreet when installed on the ceiling while boasting a minimalistic profile,” Poh explains. This also allows homeowners to maximise their space without compromising on style or functionality.

There is also a growing demand for softer, more organic lighting. Aeon’s Gypsum series, with its concave façade design, meets this need by softening harshness and enhancing aesthetic appeal, making it a popular choice among Singaporean homeowners.

Several Aeon models have made a significant impact on the local market. The Voli Recessed V2, Isa V3 Mini, and Gypsum Boba are some notable examples. These fixtures prioritise size reduction, offering sleeker and more discreet lighting solutions. “Features like dim-to-warm functions enhance versatility across a variety of moods and activities,” says Poh. The Ripple Gypsum and Gypsum Boba’s nuanced glow add a decorative touch, elevating ceilings and other transitional areas often overlooked in design.

When Aeon first launched, minimalist interior concepts were on the rise, and the lighting label’s initial products reflected this trend. However, as customer preferences evolved, Aeon concurrently expanded its offerings to include more playful designs as well as statement pieces such as the Boba range. “We’re always interested in creating spaces that inspire, and statement luminaires like the Boba series serve as extensions of our customers’ personalities and creativity,” says Poh.

The brand has also ventured into architectural statement lighting fixtures with the Gypsum line, which emits a nuanced glow that is perfect for crafting a cosy ambience. This diversification reflects Aeon’s goal to cater to a wide variety of settings, ensuring each project is unique and inviting.

Aeon has launched the modular track lighting system, Circuit.11. Designed to tackle the bulkiness of conventional and magnetic tracks, this system offers various options for surface-mounted and suspended models. “Circuit.11 features curved and angled profiles, providing homeowners with versatility and the option to customise with selected Aeon luminaires,” Poh reveals.

As Aeon continues to innovate and adapt to the needs of the Singaporean market, it remains a beacon of creativity and functionality in the world of illumination. With a focus on local insights and a commitment to quality, the brand is lighting the way for homes across Singapore.
