From athletes to composers and social entrepreneurs, Tatler Gen.T honoured the remarkable achievements of 33 young Hong Kong innovators, creators and changemakers in a cocktail event on June 27
Since 2016, Tatler Gen.T has spotlighted Asia’s Leaders of Tomorrow across various industries, recognising their significant social impact and potential to shape the region’s future. After announcing this year’s Hong Kong cohort, a cocktail event was held on June 27 to celebrate the honourees’ success.
In partnership with Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong, the event saw about 140 guests gather at its brand centre by the harbour. The crowd included industry heavyweights and prolific Gen.T and Tatler community members, such as Fred Ngan, the co-founder and co-CEO of Bowtie; Elaine Ng, the founder of The Fabrick Lab; and Olivia Cotes-James, the founder and CEO of Luüna Naturals.

The guests took their photos at the brand centre’s entrance and gathered on the ground floor for a brief networking session before proceeding to the next level by way of a grand staircase. Along the way, they were greeted by several of Mercedes-Benz’s latest models including the electric models EQE SUV and EQA.
Simon Wilson, the mastermind behind the social media platform Fork Lore Asia known for its street interviews with culinary experts, served as emcee for the evening. “This is our unique opportunity to share this space with previous and current honourees. I encourage you to make the most [of it], make a new connection, engage with the people and embrace being part of this Gen.T community,” he said, kicking off the celebration.
Tatler Asia Group chairman and CEO Michel Lamunière later took the stage to welcome the newest honourees to the Gen.T community. “We have people from diverse backgrounds—from athletes, artists, venture capitalists and of course, startup founders. All of you are unified by a shared sense of purpose and a desire to make an impact,” he said.

Wilson then invited three Gen.T honourees from current and past years for quickfire interviews: Angelle Siyang-Le, the director of Art Basel Hong Kong; Kingsley Leung, the co-founder and chairman of biotech company Great Bay Bio; and Zac Purton, one of Hong Kong’s top-ranking jockeys.
During the conversations, they shared valuable insights from their careers and expertise in an upbeat manner that brightened the room. “Find the VIP customers that stick with you and give candid feedback. This is one of my experiences transforming ideas into good products,” Leung said.

Each honouree received a personalised magazine with their Gen.T portrait on the cover. They also went home with a door gift containing a box of drink mix and a glass bottle from Future Salad, a food technology company producing high-fibre drinks designed to meet nutritional needs, as well as a carbon-neutral digital business card and a voucher from Whosify.
As they enjoyed delectable food and drinks from Black Sheep Restaurants, guests spent the rest of the evening creating new memories and meaningful connections with like-minded individuals who shared their goal of building a better world.
