Whether you’re after a stack of pancakes, a plate of tapsilog, a bowl of shakshuka or a full Sunday spread with free-flowing beverages, these are the best brunch spots in Metro Manila, as recommended by our editors and readers
On the rare occasion you’re granted the luxury of time—the space to sit back, pause and enjoy a slow, long meal as breakfast blurs into lunch—you take it.
Whether that means working through a stack of pancakes with a mimosa in hand, catching up with friends over a luxurious buffet complete with caviar service or simply sitting somewhere quiet with a very good cup of coffee and a well-made omelette, brunch is an invitation to be a little indulgent.
Below, Tatler Dining rounds up the best brunch spots in Metro Manila, drawn from our editors’ picks and the most enthusiastic recommendations from our readers.
This list is in alphabetical order.
1. 12/10
Location: 8 Rockwell, Rockwell Center, Makati City
Founded by Thea de Rivera and chef Gab Bustos, this contemporary izakaya has grown into a true cult-favourite. But did you know that 12/10 (Tatler Best 20 Philippines) offers a tasting menu exclusively available for Sunday brunch? Their six-course brunch omakase includes dishes like umami bread with anchovy brown butter, squash blossom tempura with gyūtan mousse and dashi and a saffron panna cotta with white chocolate and lemon.
Tatler Tip: 12/10 also has a separate lunch menu from Mondays to Saturdays featuring items you can’t get at dinner service, like the lamb curry.

2. Apéro Neo-Bistro
Location: The Club House, Corinthian Hills, Quezon City
Guided by chef Jacq Tan, Apéro Neo Bistro has built its reputation as a laidback, reliable neighbourhood haunt with French sensibilities. For breakfast, that means asparagus Grana Padano French-baked eggs, croissant croque madame and even a duck arroz caldo. Looking for something a bit more familiar? Dig into the homemade corned beef silog, tapa striploin or Dutch baby pancakes with sausage and eggs, and chia pudding.
3. Bistrot Le Coucou
Location: One Bonifacio High Street Mall, BGC, Taguig City
Perched on the view deck of One Bonifacio High Street Mall, Bistrot Le Coucou brings a convivial Parisian spirit to BGC. Available daily from 11am to 3pm, the Parisian Brunch selection is lean but considered. Think smoked salmon flatbread with capers and crème fraîche, French-style mac and cheese with Gruyère and Comté béchamel or lobster rolls with fries.
Tatler Tip: Alternatively, dine Mondays to Fridays to avail of their lunch sets, which grant you the flexibility of choice across four generous courses.
4. The Black Bean
Location: Salcedo Street, Legazpi Village, Makati City; J. Elizalde Avenue, BF Homes, Parañaque City
The brainchild of Christian Paul Casino and Omu Toledo-Camus, The Black Bean is conceived as an extension of home—a space for well-made coffee and elevated comfort food, defined by a strong sense of community. Executive chef and partner Inna Vidal heads the kitchen, turning out hearty brunch favourites including bibingka French toast, chicken and waffles and the beef tapa bowl.

5. Bungalow Café & Bakery
The most popular recommendation from our readers
Location: Molito Lifestyle Center, Alabang, Muntinlupa City
Chef-owners Albert Trinidad, Bea Sauler and Mae Velasco have built Bungalow into one of the south’s most beloved brunch spots. Drawing from French, American and Filipino cuisine in equal measure, the restaurant’s offerings span sweets like cakes, viennoiseries and pancakes with caramelised banana and hazelnut maple praline, as well as savoury picks like eggs Benedict, sausage and cheese omelette and a crispy grain bowl with pulled chicken and candied nuts (this editor’s favourite).
6. By Sonja
Location: YMC Building, Chino Roces Avenue Extension, Makati City
Pastry chef Sonja Ocampo moves beyond her well-loved cakes and cupcakes with her refined bakery and café named By Sonja, drawing on time spent in France, New York and Japan. The menu spans artisanal galettes, crêpes and savoury sandwiches alongside small-batch pastries, viennoiserie and other treats (read: textbook-perfect scones) too.
Tatler Tip: Do not miss By Sonja’s flaky, buttery egg and cheese biscuit sandwiches—with the option to add on bacon or ham—available exclusively on weekends.

8. Cartel Deli
Location: G/F Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences, Salcedo Village, Makati City
Cartel has been a fixture of the Salcedo Village morning since 2016—a café-deli-bar built as an extension of Pablo Bistro next door. The breakfast and brunch menu covers omelettes, sandwiches, breakfast bowls, quiches and even specials like smoked Wagyu brisket, with a broader menu of Spanish and continental dishes running through the day. Coffee is by Yardstick, while the wine list makes Cartel equally suited to a long, slow afternoon.

9. Finestra

Visit on Sundays for Brunchissimo—an extensive Italian experience featuring premium cheeses, charcuterie and seafood towers.
10. June Eatery
Location: Burgos Circle, BGC, Taguig City
June Eatery is the sophomore concept from the team behind Bibio, the natural wine bar in Poblacion. 13. Rustic Mornings by Isabelo
Location: 11 Isabelo Mendoza Street, San Roque, Marikina City
Once a private dining venture known as Isabelo Garden, Rustic Mornings takes diners out of the bustling city centre and into a lush, garden-set restaurant. The menu leans heavily into comfort food, from Filipino favourites and pancakes to their playful “toast bar” and hefty breakfast platters. Don’t know what to get? Opt for one of their group platters, designed for sharing.
14. Scratch
Location: 106 Aguirre Street, Legazpi Village, Makati City
Co-founders Ralph Sy and Charlene Ng have built Scratch on a single, disciplined premise: make as much as possible in-house, from the bread and butter to the cheese, yoghurt and jam. Now in a larger space in Legazpi Village, the kitchen has more room to deliver on that promise. Favourites like the mortadella sandwich, meatballs and focaccia, and potato quiche remain on the menu, alongside new additions such as the tahini granola with house yoghurt and the spectacular sausage and egg in a sourdough English muffin.
Tatler Tip: Their beverage programme was developed in collaboration with their friends from Ito (just across the road), with the Apple Pie Espresso Tonic as the crowd-favourite.
15. St. Ali
Location: Grand Hyatt Residences South Tower, BGC, Taguig City; and Opus Mall, Bridgetowne Boulevard, Quezon City
Founded in Melbourne in 2005, St. Ali brings a dedication to world-class coffee and playful café fare to Manila. Come for their creative coffee and cocktail listings, stay for brunch picks like My Mexican Cousin (corn fritters, poached eggs, halloumi and salsa), the build-your-own breakfast plate and their thick pancakes.
16. Wonderfull Kitchen
Location: Commercenter Alabang, Muntinlupa City
Helmed by chef Carlos Garcia, The Black Pig has stood proud as one of Alabang’s very best restaurants for over a decade. Now, Garcia and the team have unveiled their newest concept, Wonderfull: a casual, all-day dining restaurant that emphasises wholesome ingredients and balanced plates. The menu opens with a selection of brunch plates such as shakshuka baked eggs, rosti Benedict and steak burrito and eggs. After something lighter? Try the smashed avocado on sourdough or coconut chia bowl. Hungry? They’ve got heavier items too, from power bowls to chicken Milanese.
