The team at Metiz, one of the country's top fine dining restaurants, has just launched its weekend brunch to be featured at their sister establishment, the more casual and rock n' roll, Automat. Located just above Metiz, Automat is a concept that allows the Metiz chefs to be unrestrained, wilder, and more maximalist. Here, they bring their keen culinary sensibilities to the fore, but amp up the flavour and decadence in this hearty brunch that is not for the faint of heart. For pancake lovers, get their hotcake with Uncle Neal's bacon, which comes dressed in popcorn caramel and is also served with a gooey scrambled egg. While there, on top of the pancakes, we recommend their Spam-ish omelette with smoked chilli hollandaise, confit potatoes, Spam emulsion and a side salad. And, for a dose of rice, opt for the cheeksilog, with beef cheeks and tendon, cacio e pepe egg, salpicao sauce, cheddar sauce and rice.
