From indulgent high teas to smoky meats and Spanish soul food, TRX Eats 2025 is a flavour-packed celebration of culinary creativity and KL’s most exciting kitchens

TRX Eats is not just a campaign. It is a citywide invitation to indulge. From May 9 to June 1, 2025, The Exchange TRX transforms into a gastronomic playground, drawing diners into a precinct-wide culinary trail that celebrates taste, texture, and the stories behind every plate. Expect exclusive menus, pop-up experiences, and themed dining nights that go far beyond your typical food crawl. It is not just a food visit—it is a flavour trail that brings together some of KL’s most dynamic chefs, all under one roof.

This is where KL’s most daring kitchens come out to play. At the heart of it all? Three distinct concepts—Union Bistrot, Tucker & Co, and Las Meninas—that each bring their own brand of culinary storytelling to the table. From elegant European plates and smoky Bertha-grilled meats to bold, flavourful Spanish tapas, the TRX Eats trail is a showcase of signature dishes and limited-time specials you will want to plan your day—and your appetite—around.

Where Asian soul meets international technique, Union Bistrot delivers a menu that celebrates modern fusion with precision and heart. Led by the seasoned chef Alizan Zainal Abidin, whose 20-year career includes formative years in Singapore’s high-end kitchens, Union Bistrot’s offerings reflect his deep understanding of both Malaysian and Western cuisine. Inspired by culinary mentors and grounded in humble local roots, chef Alizan's creations are driven by flavour, nostalgia, and relaxed luxury.

Start your experience with the Chicken Crackling—a playful, reimagined dish that pays homage to the classic pork platter, made Muslim-friendly and bursting with rempah aioli, crisp textures and golden chicken skin. A must-try that hits every note: spicy, savoury, crunchy and creamy.

The Grilled Wagyu Striploin (G6) with Sarawak white peppercorn jus, charred leek, pico de gallo, and silky pomme purée, is a masterstroke in balance and indulgence. Rich, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth tender, every bite is wrapped in bold, well-layered flavours. The mashed potato is a standout on its own—buttery, smooth, and luxurious without ever overpowering.

Dessert lovers, do not even think about leaving without trying the Salted Brownie Tiramisu. Imagine soft brownie chunks layered with salted caramel cream cheese whip and sea salt Chantilly cream, finished tableside with a pour-over espresso shot. The harmony of bitterness and sweetness makes it a crowd-pleaser for every palate.

Cocktail and mocktail fans will also find their go-to: from fresh pairings to the unforgettable Dirty Latte—a showstopper featuring espresso and coconut milk. No added sugar, just pure, natural sweetness that perfectly complements the robust coffee notes. A daily must-order, this is fusion done right.

From 3pm to 6pm daily, indulge in 20 per cent off high tea orders, complete with dainty sweets and savouries served on elegant tiered trays. Come weekend, it only gets sweeter with the “Weekend Sweet Delights” promotion—get 20 per cent off all desserts, and an extra 10 per cent off your entire bill when paired with a house mocktail or cocktail. For the post-office crowd, Thursday and Friday evenings bring a tempting treat: order any main above RM50 and receive a complimentary glass of house wine to help you unwind.

Bring your friends. Bring your appetite. Union Bistrot is ready to impress.

Tucker & Co: Bold, bertha-fired Flavour at its finest

At Tucker & Co, grilling is not just a technique—it is a heritage. And true to its name (in Australian slang, “tucker” means “food”), this inviting spot delivers just that: honest, heartfelt fare that satisfies the soul. Helmed by chef Billy from Taiping, every dish here is steeped in personal memory. Inspired by his grandmother’s kitchen and shaped by years of culinary grit, chef Billy brings passion, technique and nostalgia to every fire-kissed plate.

Take the Spiced Marinated Lamb Rump, grilled over mangrove charcoal from his hometown—a process that locks in tenderness while imparting a deep, smoky note. Served with sweet potato purée, peas, fried kale, and house-made jus, the dish bursts with complexity. Cumin and chilli lend boldness, while the kale—deep-fried until glossy—offers crunch and sweet earthiness that balances the rich meat.

Next, dive into the Slipper Lobster Roll. Paired with paprika mayo, fried mustard seeds, and creamy house-made coleslaw, this dish is a textural delight. The sweetness of the slipper lobster is perfectly offset by the nuttiness of mustard and zing of pickles.

Our personal favourite? The Cold Capellini Pasta—a revelation of truffle ponzu, ebi, and ikura. It is soft, cold, umami-laced and unexpectedly refreshing, proving that simplicity, when done right, can be completely unforgettable.

During TRX Eats, enjoy 10 per cent off all Bertha-grilled items—a rare chance to indulge in Tucker & Co’s signature meats at an even more tempting price. Think tender steaks with flame-charred crusts, juicy poultry kissed by smoke, and vegetables that sing with caramelised intensity. There is nothing rushed here, just bold, carefully controlled heat and a respect for ingredients that speaks through the plate.

Tucker & Co offers bold, nostalgic cooking, made modern. This is fire with feeling—and food that hits home.

Las Meninas: A taste of Spain in KL

Step inside Las Meninas and be transported to the backstreets of Madrid, where tapas flow, laughter echoes, and every table feels like a celebration. This is Spanish cuisine made with heart—generous, vibrant, celebratory and deeply soulful.

Whether you are a longtime tapas fan or a first-timer, the TRX Eats Platter (RM99 for two) is the perfect introduction. The line-up reads like a greatest hits album: Patatas Bravas, crispy and doused in spicy tomato and alioli; Fritura De Calamares served with creamy sriracha mayo; and skewers of Angus Beef (Pinchos de Carne) and herbed Chicken (Pinchos de Pollo) grilled to juicy perfection.

The Lamb Albondigas, stewed in herbed tomato sauce and finished with smoked Idiazabal cheese, offer richness and depth in every bite. And the Paella de Verduras? A comforting mix of bomba rice, peppers, mushrooms, and peas—all cooked low and slow in sofrito.

Do not miss their gambas—succulent prawns served sizzling in aromatic oil, ready to be soaked up with their crusty sourdough. Salty, spicy, and utterly addictive.

Top it all off with a signature Sangria, brimming with the freshest fruits—refreshing, punchy, and impossible to stop at one glass.
