Tiffin's latest series brings together renowned eateries from the two countries for an unforgettable dining experience
Two is better than one, as the old saying goes. Culinary collaborations can sometimes produce magical results as ideas get shared, techniques come together, and ingredients from different worlds are combined in imaginative ways.
Tiffin At Home, by culinary platform Tiffin, is a month-long celebration of just such collaborations. From August 19 to September 19, the event will showcase collaborative menus from Malaysia’s top chefs and homegrown brands, as well as cross-border team-ups with various restaurants in Singapore, in conjunction with the Singapore Food Festival.

“Ever since the lockdown started, and with the opening of the physical Tiffin At The Yard delayed, the Tiffin team has been actively working with many players in the F&B scene to explore fun concepts and test new ideas for home dining," says Tiffin's founder Adrian Yap. "Tiffin At Home is a result of these conversations. It not only serves as a preview of Tiffin At The Yard but also a way to support the industry during these challenging times.”
Highlights include a three-way collaboration between Chef Chai Chai Boon (of now-defunct Restaurant Copper), Inside Scoop and up-and-coming fermentation hub Kuno on an eclectic new fermentation menu. Chocha Foodstore in Kuala Lumpur joins forces with Laut Singapore on a menu that pays homage to the region’s seafaring heritage.
Fusion foodies can look forward to an ingredient-driven menu crafted by chefs Darren Teoh of Dewakan and Sun Kim of one-Michelin-starred Meta Restaurant in Singapore, which will draw on their Malaysian and Korean heritage.
