From what to expect of future activations, to the ethos behind Rockwell’s growth into a true dining incubator—here’s everything you need to know
Those well-acquainted with Manila’s eclectic, ever-buzzing dining scene are likely to have noticed that something’s been unfolding at The Balmori Suites. Always striving to create exclusive and tailored experiences for its close-knit community, Rockwell is currently hosting The Balmori Chef’s Table, a series of seasonal epicurean pop-ups in the lobby of its prime offering beside Power Plant Mall.

With an array of time-tested restaurants, cafés, and bars populating its winding streets and towering buildings, the Rockwell Center’s residents and regulars are no strangers to extraordinary food and beverage concepts. The bustling urban hub is also known to hold its fair share of successful displays of local talent, fashion, and craft—so it was only a matter of time before something like The Balmori Chef’s Table came to fruition.
The genesis of the project was to provide patrons with a truly unique experience upon every return. This ensued a process of curating a lineup of chefs and restaurants to grace the series, and much like the diverse range of pop-ups in the past, Rockwell sought to put a spotlight on Filipino talents.

Embracing their unique takes on local cuisine, the Rockwell community has since witnessed sensational concepts from Toyo Eatery, Balai Palma, Hapag MNL, and most recently Soil Private Dining which offers its exclusive menu until the 24th. Patrons may also look forward to upcoming pop-ups with Kapampangan chef Sau del Rosario by the end of September and with chef Rhea Rizzo of Mrs Saldo’s in December.
The culinary virtuosos behind these beloved names bring their distinct styles and mastery of locally sourced, farm-to-table ingredients, rendering each instalment of The Balmori Chef’s Table practically unmissable.

What’s equally worth noting is that The Balmori Suites couldn’t be more perfect. Joining its elegant interiors and marvellous high ceilings, the ground-level space has been recently furnished with a working full kitchen. Chefs only need to craft their menus, bring their team, and be ready to welcome patrons with their signature hospitality.
Within this tremendous atrium, delightful encounters are seamlessly facilitated between the diners, the chefs, and the latter’s succulent creations, all in the brief yet memorable course of a mealtime.
