Located in Boracay, Percy Seafood is a dining experience that boasts a flurry of flavours
Seafood is a staple food for us Filipinos. We enjoy fried fish, steamed crabs, grilled squid, and vibrant fresh raw catches too. The sheer versatility reflects the rich diversity that our waters offer and opens the door to a wide range of recipes waiting to be explored. Located in Boracay, Percy Seafood brings the ocean’s bounty right to your table. Their menu features selections from across the world alongside classic favourites, all proudly and passionately made with local ingredients.
Founded by the husband-and-wife duo of Emmanuel (Nowie to his friends) and Odette Potenciano, Percy Seafood (whose name is humorously derived from the titular character of Percy Jackson) is the latest of their culinary endeavours. They’re also behind three other local hits on the island: The Sunny Side Cafe, Spicebird, and Coco Mama.
“For Percy, we knew that we did not want to offer the usual [fare] that you see on the island, so we looked back on the best seafood dishes that we’ve had during our travels around the world,” Nowie, explains.” He wants each one to feel and taste like a speciality from a distinct location.

Thus, their travels abroad are reflected in the dishes they serve, resulting in a truly diverse lineup that turns your trip to Boracay into a journey across the world. Their royal seafood tagine, a hearty sampler of locally sourced giant prawns, fish, squid, and mussels arranged on a bed of couscous, was created after a visit to Morocco. Every bite is a rich menagerie of zesty flavours, sure to meet your fancy. After trying a chả cá lã vọng in Vietnam, the couple recreated it using the local tanigue fish instead of the traditional catfish. The fish is fried, marinated in turmeric, then served on a sizzling hot pan alongside glass noodles.

However, Percy puts the spotlight on its crabs, touted as some of the finest on the island. From its selection of Hong Kong-inspired typhoon shelter crab to its Singapore-styled black pepper crab, you’ll have no shortage of incredible variations to choose from. The standout item is their Thai curry crab, a personal favourite of the couple from their time in Bangkok. It’s an intense stir-fry of egg, chilli, green onions, and of course, curry. Its smooth texture and dynamic flavours are sure to leave an indelible mark.
