The best restaurants, bars, and hotels in the Philippines

What used to be the Tatler Dining Guide has now evolved into Tatler Best Philippines, following suit from our smashing Tatler Best Asia launch in November 2024, where we announced an Asia-wide top list of 100 best restaurants, bars, and hotels in the region.

While we’ve expanded to include prestigious Asia-wide lists, we remain steadfastly committed to highlighting the vibrant local dining and hospitality scene with our annual Tatler Best local guides. In the Philippines, for the first time ever, we are now listing top hotels and bars in addition to the country’s best restaurants. In this first volume, we focus our lens on being the ultimate guide to the best in hospitality. Now, with Tatler Best Philippines, we continue to profile the country’s finest restaurants, and for the first time, we are spotlighting top bars and hotels, too. As the most comprehensive guide to date, Tatler is extremely proud to share this authoritative top list and celebrate each deserving establishment.

Flip through our pages to see the Tatler Best 20 (the top 20 names in F&B), plus our coveted Best-in-Class awards for hotels, restaurants, and bars. We will be honouring Best-in-Class awards for all categories, and the Tatler Best 20 for restaurants and bars. The Tatler Best-in-Class awards celebrate 22 trailblazing visionaries in the Philippines (ten for hotels, six for restaurants, and six for bars) that continue to set new benchmarks and redefine the hospitality landscape.

Our list of bars pays respect to the finest drinking spots known not only for their inventive cocktails but also for their exceptional service and ambience, while our awards for hotels spotlight some of the most exceptional places to stay in the country. Each entry for an award category and the Tatler Best 20 are chosen through a rigorous voting process with our panel of expert gourmands and the Tatler Dining team.

As we venture into 2025, we celebrate that the industry has not only maintained its positivity but also shown strength. Teams have actively adapted to dynamic guest preferences and global trends, continuing to persevere and thrive. Restaurateurs, chefs, and mixologists are buzzing with energy as fresh concepts burst into the scene and the collaboration trend mushroomed, peppering our social calendars with refreshing menus. A surprising amount of new restaurants and bars opened their doors, eager to test the waters of this unforgiving industry. The innovation and entrepreneurial spirit flowing through the country is inspiring, but it’s the market’s hunger to explore and be adventurous that has kept us most excited.

The sense of community and dynamism this past year was beautiful. While the world of hospitality is known to be cut-throat, it is also one of the most collaborative and tight-knit. As consumers, we all value convenience—but it’s quality that draws us to explore and return. The vibrant hospitality scene in the Philippines is an interesting reflection of our needs, wants, and values and we can’t wait to see how each grows in harmony, continuing to push one another to become better.

The new Tatler Best Philippines Guide 2025 launches on March 17, stay tuned for more!
