Globe Platinum partners with six incredible restaurants to combat involuntary hunger through its signature Hapag Movement
Globe Platinum is connecting people through more than just the airwaves. Gastronome Giving, its signature dining experience, is back, and they’ve partnered with Fine Dining Club Philippines (FDC) to make it happen. Using the time-honoured tradition of shared meals, it is partnering with six celebrated restaurants to combat involuntary hunger through its Hapag Movement. Diners can enjoy meaningful dishes with an impact and play an active part in this advocacy.
Launched in 2022, the Hapag Movement is Globe’s hunger alleviation initiative in collaboration with several non-government organisations (NGOs). In addition to its flagship Gastronome Giving, it runs mobile donation drives and sustainable livelihood programmes, supports access to quality education and conducts community feeding efforts to address hunger from multiple fronts.

“At Globe, we believe that meaningful innovation must go hand in hand with inclusive progress,” Globe chief sustainability and corporate communications officer Yoly Crisanto declares. “Our advocacy for food security stems from a clear-eyed view of the challenges many Filipinos face, where access to technology often runs parallel to access to basic needs like food.”
Diners may join the movement through six participating restaurants: Anzani, which offers a modernised take on Mediterranean cuisine; Goxo, whose Basque-inspired menu reflects the best of Spanish fare; Kasa Palma, with its soulful plates of island food; Mrs Saldo’s, which fuses Southeast Asian and French flavours; Roots, a blending of international cuisines with Filipino produce; and Taupe, whose dishes are elevated into an art form.
Each restaurant was chosen not just for its elevated culinary offerings, but also for its passion for giving back. Each has curated a special, signature set menu for Gastronome Giving. When a diner avails of this, a portion of the proceeds is automatically donated to the Hapag Movement. Globe Platinum customers can book via Thea, their Platinum digital assistant. Extra perks await both them and FDC members, including curated amuse-bouche courses and meetings with the very chefs involved.
“What makes this even more meaningful is that each restaurant is paired with a grassroots partner,” Globe Platinum head Mark Pasaylo explains. “Organisations like Ayala Foundation, World Vision and Tzu Chi Foundation ensure donations directly impact feeding programmes and livelihood training across underserved communities.”
“Partnering with FDC is our way of saying thank you to founder JC Cailles Lo and his community, whose support helped spark the idea that indulgence can—and should—give back,” he adds.

“This year, the expanded series allows us to scale both impact and reach, supporting more Filipino families with every seat at the table,” Crisanto says. “As we often say, it’s purpose on a plate—and each meal brings us one step closer to a hunger-free Philippines.”
Gastronome Giving is Globe’s way of giving back and connecting people on a more grounded, fundamental level. “Our customers are at the heart of our Globe of Good vision—not as spectators, but as co-creators,” Pasaylo affirms. “When they dine, donate or participate in initiatives like this, they become part of something larger than themselves. It’s not just about connection through technology—it’s connection through shared values, experiences and impact.”
