Feast on an array of cuisines while surrounded by greenery at this garden-inspired buffet restaurant at Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore

Take a trip to Laguna Golf Green and you’ll discover this gem of a restaurant, Greenhouse, nestled within luxury urban resort Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore. Designed to be your ‘escape’ from the city, the 198-seat restaurant was fashioned after a greenhouse with a forest-themed décor brought alive by beautiful botanical accents. With ample natural light and floor-to-ceiling glass windows that look out to the surrounding Masters Course, it’s easy to forget—even for an hour or two—that you are still in Singapore.

Come for the scenery, stay for the food. Executive chef Ron Cheng shared that Greenhouse offers a “thoughtfully curated” line-up of Thai, Yue, Punjabi Tandoor, Mediterranean and Japanese cuisines served at its five show kitchens.

At its Thai kitchen, for instance, you can feast on popular classic such toong thong gai, deep-fried chicken wrapped up like ‘money bags’ and served with a sweet and spicy chilli sauce; tod mun pla, deep-fried Thai fish cake; and khao phad poo, crabmeat fried rice served at dinner.

Explore the other kitchens too, starting with the Yue station for authentic Cantonese dishes. That means a selection of dim sum, wok-fried noodles and roasted meats. The Cantonese roast duck and roasted pork belly are done particularly well, with the skin cooked to a crisp and the meat remains juicy. Make it an international feast with a stopover at the Punjabi Tandoor section for North Indian favourites like the murgh makhani (butter chicken), aloo gobi (potato and cauliflower), and the Japanese station for assorted maki and nigiri sushi, as well as saba shioyaki from the robatayaki grill. There are more culinary offerings beyond Asian cuisine to appreciate. At the Action Pasta Bar, Italian and Mediterranean cuisines reign with the likes of sourdough pizzas cooked in an applewood-fired oven, and pastas which you can DIY with a selection of pasta shapes, sauces (pesto, carbonara and tomato), meats and seafood on offer.

When it’s time to close the meal with something sweet, make the dessert bar your last stop for a slice of decadent yuzu matcha cake or earthy chocolate and peanut lapis. As you finish your dining experience and return to reality, always remember that a culinary escape awaits you at Greenhouse.
