Mexican-inspired rooftop bar El Chido at Pullman Singapore Hill Street has unveiled a refreshed look, an expanded cocktail programme and, for the first time, complimentary access to its infinity pool for all visitors

Singapore’s favourite Mexican-inspired rooftop has had a serious glow-up, and this time, the invitation extends well beyond hotel guests. El Chido, perched atop Pullman Singapore Hill Street, has reopened with a refreshed look, a revamped cocktail programme and, most notably, complimentary public access to its infinity pool every day of the week.

For years, the appeal of a rooftop pool came with one catch: you needed a room key to enjoy it. That barrier has now been removed. Visitors can drop by for a midday swim or a sunset dip without booking a hotel stay or paying an entry fee. Towels and shower facilities are also provided, making it easy to transition from poolside lounging to evening drinks.

The transformation extends beyond accessibility. El Chido has installed a full canopy across its dining, bar and arrival areas, including a retractable roof over the main lounge. The upgrade means skyline views, live DJ sets and rooftop gatherings can continue regardless of Singapore’s unpredictable weather. It also makes the venue a more dependable option for weddings, product launches and corporate events, eliminating the uncertainty of outdoor entertaining.

In case you missed it: The art of the stay: Pullman Singapore Hill Street is where design, dining and dynamic living converge

The refreshed space leans further into its lively, fiesta-inspired vibe with colourful interiors, a hand-painted mural and sweeping city views that naturally lend themselves to social media snapshots. Behind the bar, the cocktail menu has been reimagined around tequila, rum and gin in collaboration with several spirits partners.

Signature serves include a fiery Spicy Margarita with lime and jalapeño, a classic Paloma made with Patrón Blanco and grapefruit soda, the Mexican favourite Batanga with Código Blanco and cola, and the Ay Melón! Berry,  a thirst-quenching blend of Corona Beer, Ford's Gin, melon, cranberry and lime. The food menu follows the same convivial approach, with dishes designed for sharing. Highlights include white fish ceviche paired with pickled sweet potato and black garlic crema, chilled Spanish octopus served with chipotle coleslaw, and the aptly named Nacho Man, available with either minced beef or Impossible meat for plant-based diners.

Looking ahead, El Chido is also preparing to launch a monthly Skyline Weekend Brunch, bringing together food, cocktails, music and guest chef collaborations against the backdrop of Marina Bay.

With complimentary pool access, a weatherproof rooftop and a refreshed food and drinks offering, El Chido is positioning itself as one of Singapore’s most accessible rooftop destinations—no room key required.
