Learn about how this AI-powered online grocer is pushing the envelope and improving user experience in the Philippines
What started as an online marketplace has now established its first-ever brick-and-mortar shop, firmly placing the spotlight on its home-grown, in-house goods.
What is COOP Grocer?
COOP Grocer launched in 2020, making our shopping experience for household pantry staples, food, and cleaning supplies seamless. As the only group that has a real-time inventory of their own (they don’t send riders out to shop for goods at other supermarkets), we shoppers need not worry about those phone calls regarding out-of-stock items.
While the app you may have been using has been shelved, their website is freshly revamped and houses a wide expanse of essentials, needs, and wants. Here you’ll find food and drink items from a varied spectrum of tried and tested brands, plus farm-fresh goods from their partner establishments.
Brick-and-Mortar Store
A unique feature is the COOP’s house-brand products which are proudly made in the Philippines. Enter: COOP FRESH. Opening this January 31st, the brand opens its first store in BGC. Here you’ll find the country’s first-ever cashless grocery store stocked only with home-grown COOP-made goods. Shoppers can get an up-close and personal look at the brand's creations which were once only available online.
All your in-store purchases are rung up at the counter and then presented to you in your digital shopping cart on the COOP website, where you can finalise payment. Adding to that, they even have a street-facing window drop-off point. You can order online if you are out and about, and have items prepared for you to pick up curbside.
