The exclusive drinks experience at The Macallan House is part of this month’s Tatler Best Takeover Series, which brings the region’s top culinary and mixology talents together to create exclusive menus

The news is out: The Macallan House is hosting its inaugural bar guest shift, featuring Tatler Best-awarded Opium Bar in Bangkok. The one-night-only event is taking place on July 18, as part of the Tatler Best Takeover Series in Singapore which brings together Asia’s top mixologists and chefs to create not-to-be-missed menus.

For The Macallan House takeover, Nguyen took inspiration from The Macallan’s three expressions to curate three cocktails which will only be served for the takeover series. The first is the complimentary welcome drink, Nochevieja, featuring The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Old, cocchi barolo chinato and umeshu. But that’s not the only  treat you’ll be having—you will also enjoy a dram of  The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Old to kickstart your night on a high note.

Stay through the night and enjoy Nguyen’s two original creations. You have the Midnight Bell, a sweet and seductive concoction of The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old, vanilla, English rose and elderflower tonic. For something more on the savoury side, the Opium Essence consists of The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old, banana and distilled khao doi tea.

What better place to enjoy Nguyen’s whisky-based cocktails than The Macallan House, a 3,000-square-foot experiential space that brings the distillery’s spirit to Singapore? From wavy green walls inspired by Scotland’s rolling hills to copper panels evoking the curiously small stills used in whisky making, The Macallan House offers an immersive experience every whisky lover should discover.
