The look may be modern, but the Maison is committed to upholding the VSOP’s legacy and savoir-faire, which can be traced back to James Hennessy, the son of the Maison’s founder Richard Hennessy. It was in 1817 that James first created the VSOP, and it continues to be made in the same way until today—with meticulously chosen eaux-de-vie—clear, colourless fruit brandies—that are aged to a fine finish and expertly blended to achieve the house’s signature aroma and complex taste profile.
Throughout its storied history, Maison Hennessy has always had a close bond with music artists, including hip-hop stars Snoop Dogg and Drake, who have name‑dropped Hennessy in some of their greatest hits. So it is no surprise then that the Maison partnered with local hip-hop talent Zadon to enhance the nightlife scene here with special performances through the Hennessy Nights series, happening throughout the year. Zadon is known for pushing the boundaries of music with his captivating compositions such as Frontline Soldiers, which was the theme for the Singaporean hit movie, Ah Boys to Men 4, and Fix You & Me performed by Filipino singer Kyla.

More than just a brilliant composer, Zadon is a talented performer on stage, and guests were able to witness this when he headlined the Hennessy VSOP Night Blaze official launch party in May this year. The event was held at HaveFun Live Show in Bugis+, a venue furnished with a T-shaped stage and equipped with 8,000 lights and state-of-the-art audiovisual systems.
Maison Hennessy will soon announce the name of its next collaborator in the world of hip-hop. This closely follows the line-up of artists in Singapore and beyond that the Maison continues to work with, including world‑renowned K-pop star Jackson Wang, whose recently released energetic anthem Henny is an ode to the brand. It puts into song and lyrics the Hennessy experience with Wang’s signature catchy tunes, complemented with a video showcasing how the cognac can enliven one’s nightlife experience.
It seems like nightlife parties are bound to get more exciting with the launch of the Hennessy VSOP Night Blaze.
