To honour its first birthday, this cocktail bar has introduced a selection of new cocktails that are bound to impress

For imbibers, Flow Bar needs no introduction. Conceptualised by celebrated master mixologist Ricky Paiva, and owners of Restaurant Jag, chef Jeremy Gillon and Anant Tyagi, this cocktail bar has been serving up creative cocktails since 2021. A year on, the bar continues to win over locals and tourists with its timeless classics and progressive concoctions.

Flow Bar turns one this October and to mark the occasion, the well-loved cocktail bar will be presenting new seasonal signatures, curated by Gillon. Look forward to hearty plates like the pulled pork sandwich, layered with red cabbage slaw, lettuce and sriracha; and creamy celeriac hummus topped with linseed, sunflower seeds and vanilla dressing.

To complement these mouthwatering dishes are new cocktails. Guided by Paiva's ‘sense of fun’ and ‘free-spirited flair’, the new selection features gin-based concoctions inspired by classic recipes. Here are some to look out for:

1. Peach

Peach is perfect for those who prefer a fruity drink. Paiva’s take on the Tom Collins cocktail, this summer interpretation is a smooth blend of rosemary syrup, Hayman’s Peach Rose Cup gin, lime and soda. On the nose, the cocktail offers sweet, floral and fruity notes that translate onto the palate.

2. Paloma

Inspired by the classic Margarita, this cocktail sees a gorgeous blend of Codigo Blanco tequila infused with pink peppercorn basil grapefruit syrup and brightened by lime and soda. The result is a refreshing and fizzy concoction packed with citrus and floral notes.

3. Celery

Fans of celery can revel in this creation. Offering herbaceous, earthy, and woody flavours, this concoction is a mix of Mulassano Vermouth Bianco, Suze liqueur, celery bitters, tonic soda and lemon syrup.

4. She so Shiso

This cocktail puts the spotlight on Paiva’s favourite ingredients: shiso and sweet melon. The aromatic creation features Botanist gin, rock melon juice, shiso syrup, honey, shiso bitters and lemon. The concoction is expressive on the palate, with its sweet and fruity notes. The drink is finished with a melon ball infused with shiso and saline.

5. Patina

The best way to conclude an evening is with a Scotch-based cocktail. The Patina is a classic mix of Monkey Shoulder whiskey, Drambuie and Averna. Look forward to mellow vanilla and spice notes enhanced with chocolatey cacao aromas.
