1. Fat Cow

Tatler Asia

Fat Cow is turning 10 and in honour of this significant milestone, the fine Japanese restaurant will be presenting a special 10th anniversary menu from November 1 to December 31. This offering was created by head chef Shigeru Kasajima and draws inspiration not only from Fat Cow’s heritage but his French fine dining background.

Be enthralled by dishes such as Wagyu monaka, a crispy biscuit with buttery foie gras and juicy Wagyu tenderloin, as well as a long-time favourite, the Sukiyaki. The latter sees the snow-aged Wagyu decorated with thinly shaved truffles and a brilliantly coloured Japanese egg yolk. The star of the experience though is the 60 Day dry-aged Sendai Wagyu—served with awayuki salt, grilled shishito peppers and seasonal vegetables. Order it medium rare for the best flavour. 2. Open Farm Community

Tatler Asia

Looking for a healthy but delicious spot to dine at this week? Hop on over to Open Farm Community as Spa Esprit Group’s Cynthia Chua, Open Farm Community’s head chef Oliver Truesdale and sous chef Phoebe Oviedo have teamed up to present a brand new Farm Feast menu celebrating homegrown produce and traditional kampong dining.

Some highlights from their highly customisable menu include the crispy cauliflower wings sauced with sweet and sticky tamarind miso; and sweet corn “ribs” which are home-grown, salted, blistered on the grill and served with a fiery company of green peppercorn, shimichi and olive oil emulsion.

Meat lovers are not forgotten. In fact, you can enjoy their grass-fed New Zealand short rib, comprising bone-in meat that's roasted till fork-tender, doused in Mexican mile sauce and served with pickled onions.

4. Bochinche

Tatler Asia

The modern Argentinean restaurant now has a new home in Club Street, and its new space features a larger dining hall, an open kitchen, and a refreshed menu crafted by head chef Fabrice Mergalet. With a focus on specialities from Argentina, look forward to their version of spring rolls, stuffed with chopped pig's ears; signature empanadas; and the classic bomba arroz verde topped with prawns and scallops.

The prized steaks are not to be missed. Apart from the traditional Argentinean steaks, you also have richer cuts including the "Devesa" Argentinian grain-fed OP RIB, and the 5 per cent miracle A5 Bara Wagyu. 5. Book Ahead: Art

Tatler Asia

The annual Alba White Truffle Benefit Dinner—which brings together Italian gastronomy, fine wine, and the spirit of charity—is back at Art Restaurant on November 14. Held in collaboration with the World Alba White Truffle Charity Auction, the special night begins with an international silent auction of the season's best Alba white truffle.

It's followed by a degustation dinner specially curated by executive chef Daniele Sperindio. Naturally, the menu showcases this coveted fungi in creations like un sardo dal Piemonte, a delicious starter of burnt leek, sheep's milk cheese, marrow, Piedmont hazelnuts and Alba white truffle; and manzo giapponese, a beautiful main course of A5 Miyazaki beef decorated with roasted chestnuts and truffle shavings. The dinner is also paired with Domenico Clerico wines.
