2. The Alkaff Mansion

The Basque oasis in Singapore has re-opened for business following months of closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic. And while you can now dine in at the restaurant, those who are still worried about going out can have various meal sets delivered thanks to a newly-introduced delivery service.

Ideal for a party of five is the Una Bundle B, comprising popular tapas such as pan con tomate, a selection of Iberico cold cuts, and grilled octopus served with paprika sauce. Go easy on the tapas if you fill up easily, so you can savour the delicious mains, which include the paella de marisco, loaded with tiger prawns, clams and mussels. Dessert is a decadent combination of burnt cheesecake and churros with spicy chocolate sauce. Check out the menu here

3. Cure

Feed your cravings for tasty comfort food with chef-owner Andrew Walsh’s freshly-baked pies that you can enjoy at home. High on the list of must-haves is the one filled with Irish beef cheek that's cooked in a potent Guinness gravy with herbs and vegetables and encased in a crisp puff pastry. Another recommended alternative is the ratatouille pie, stuffed with a blend of bell peppers, courgette feta and tomato rosemary sauce.

Both pies come with sides of whipped leek and chive mashed potatoes, freshly-baked house rolls and Cure’s signature bacon butter. Check out the menu here

4. Fat Prince

While you battle wanderlust and continue dreaming of your next Turkish holiday, take your taste buds on a gastronomic journey with this restaurant’s extensive menu of mezze, kebabs and more.

It’s always a good idea to start with kebabs (meant for sharing), and you’ve got the likes of pit-roasted lamb, harissa prawn and roasted pumpkin with smoked cheese. Make it a feast by ordering more mezze and include the kale tabbouleh, which is a healthier option of bulgur wheat, avocado and cured lemon vinaigrette, as well as a Hokkaido scallop crudo dressed in a passionfruit vinaigrette. 5. Meatsmith Little India

Chef Kurt Sombero welcomes dine-in customers back with an enticing tasting menu, inspired by a multitude of cuisines. You will be treated to some innovative snacks first, among which is a serving of fish and chips, crafted using crisp purple potato chips stacked with cubes of hamachi piqued with coria yoghurt; there are also grilled chicken oysters coated in flavoursome sumac and Delhi spice rub.

Choose between two options for the main course. The first choice is a decadent pork belly chop that's marinated in a concoction of yoghurt and pickled garlic in maple brown butter, and cooked in the tandoor oven; it's served with citrusy kombucha-marinated sauerkraut. The second is a beef rump cooked until fork-tender, and paired with squash mash, zucchini salad and mustard dressing.
