The latest addition to the group’s star studded dining establishments is helmed by two Michelin-starred brothers from Lombardy, Italy.

Admit it, one of the reasons you head down to Resorts World Sentosa is to dine at its stellar cast of restaurants — from the famed Joël Robuchon Restaurant to the underwater Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora. Now, you can add another hot restaurant to this list — Fratelli Trattoria and Pizzeria.
Fratelli means brothers in Italian, an apt name since it’s helmed by Enrico and Roberto Cerea, two chef brothers from Lombardy, Italy. They earned their stripes working for the family-owned and three Michelin-starred restaurant, Da Vittorio. Its menu is based on the cuisine of Lombardy, which is dominated by seafood but still offers beloved Italian favourites with a twist. And that is exactly what they have brought to Singapore, the location of their first restaurant outside their home country.
They have so much to offer that Fratelli is split into two sections — the dinner-service-only trattoria which has a more upscale feel and a spacious open kitchen, as well the very casual pizzeria.
Baccalá mantecato, polenta bergamasca, meringa al lime e ajoblanco
If you’re on a date, we recommend booking a table at the trattoria. The menu here has all the glorious dishes to make it a successful night, such as the baccalá mantecato, polenta bergamasca, meringa al lime e ajoblanco. The starter of cod fish mousse has a smooth mouthfeel, and the slightly gritty traditional corn polenta provides a welcome textural contrast. Rounding off the dish is the sweet and tangy lime meringue and the little dots of zingy ajoblanco sauce. For visual appeal, herbs and little yellow flowers are added into the mix.
Raviolone di ricotta e spinaci, tuorlo d’uovo e tartufo nero
Another highlight is the raviolone di ricotta e spinaci, tuorlo d’uovo e tartufo nero, which is actually one of chef Enrico’s innovations and a signature in their Italian establishment. It features one giant ravioli generously filled with spinach and ricotta cheese. For added richness, it’s topped with emmental cheese and free-range egg yolk. The addition of truffle shavings is a genius move as it prevents the whole dish from being monotonous.
Fileto di manzo servito con scaloppa di fegato grasso alla Rossini
Beef should be on the agenda when you dine at the trattoria, and you’ll do well to order the fileto di manzo servito con scaloppa di fegato grasso alla Rossini. It comes as an impressive thick-cut and perfectly grilled meat beside a buttery foie gras; they’re topped on toasted brioche bun and finished with truffle shavings. The dish is good for sharing, as it can be too heavy for one person but if you’re a meat lover, by all means, order one for yourself.
The restaurant may have too much offerings for one visit, so it’s good if you can come back another day. This time, bring your family to the pizzeria and enjoy its tempting offerings. Here, you have antipasti, pastas, gourmet pizzas and desserts.
Pizza Baccalá
Good for sharing are the Pizza Baccalá and Pizza Bianca. The former has a very similar taste to the cod fish mousse starter served at the trattoria. As for the latter, it’s more memorable with its crispy focaccia crust and thin slices of parma ham aged for 20 months. It’s generously topped with rucola salad for a nutty bite, but the richness of the burrata complements and elevates it to another level.
There’s nothing much to say about desserts, such as its tiramisu moderno that tastes like your average Italian version. However, it’s still worth ordering as its sweetness ends the meal on a good note.
