Blasting off to an auspicious start, the New York jeweller's rocket-shaped mooncake container arrives inside a robin egg blue box that opens up to a whimsical illustration of bunny astronauts in space.

The Bulgari mooncake box illuminates the moment it opens, the light coming from a moon above a portrait of the Colosseum. Right in front is a rabbit, a popular symbol of Mid-Autumn Festival, standing at the brand's flagship boutique entrance with lattice motif. Flanking them are cutouts of Roman landmarks, the Spanish Steps and the Roman Forum. The details, like a Bulgari jewellery, are simply exquisite, right down to the shadows in the background.

Dior dresses up its mooncake box with a constellation of stars, as dazzling as a moonlit sky.

Audemars Piguet

Clearly, the Le Brassus watch manufacture aims to wow this festive season. Its signature green adorns a tiffin carrier, but with a twist of an open centre with a globe (the moon) that can light up to shine upon a pair of golden rabbits frolicking amidst white clouds. In the background is the mountainous landscape of Le Brassus set against the night sky.
