The 39th edition of this feast begins with eight new creations, putting the spotlight on the D24 durian variant

There is no better way to welcome the durian season than with Goodwood Park Hotel’s Durian Fiesta. Available from February 28 to July 24, indulge in durian-inspired treats featuring D24 and Mao Shan Wang varieties. On top of its signature creations, such as the Mao Shan Wang mousse cake, D24 puff, and D24 crêpe, gourmands can anticipate eight new creations. 1. D24 Lychee Blossom Cake

A treat for both the eyes and palette, the D24 lychee blossom cake consists of a digestive biscuit base and layers of fragrant rose sponge, lychee mousse and durian mousse. The dessert is then cloaked with a rose white chocolate glaze and adorned with lychee, rose petals and dried roselle. The custard-like durian mousse is balanced by light flavours of delicate rose and lychee, cutting richness with each bite.

2. D24 Banana Flambé Cake

A twist on a classic banana cake, this indulgent dessert features rich and creamy D24 durian mousse sandwiched between layers of fluffy banana cake. The base is a house-made vanilla biscuit with chocolate sponge crumbs, adding texture and crunch to the cake. It is then dressed with durian sauce and finished with caramelised bananas and baked walnuts.

3. D24 Crystal Apricot Dome

Try the D24 crystal apricot dome for a lighter treat. This dessert comprises a house-made chocolate biscuit base, topped with apricot compote, apricot mousse and flourless chocolate sponge, enveloped in a velvety durian mousse. It is garnished with a white chocolate leaf and a mini apricot macaron. Tastewise, it has rich flavours of durian, balanced well with sweet and tangy notes of apricot.

4. D24 Strawberry Mascarpone Filo Tart

A highlight and crowd favourite of this year’s Durian Fiesta lineup, the D24 strawberry mascarpone filo tart sees eight thin and delicate layers of filo pastry meticulously assembled to form a cup. The pastry is then baked to a crisp and filled with creamy durian mousse and light mascarpone cream. The tart is crowned with fresh strawberries and roasted pistachios, adding texture to the tantalising treat. The light filo pastry cuts the richness of the durian, balancing its flavours.

5. Deep Fried D24 Mochi Ball

Head to Min Jiang for a taste of these indulgent mochi balls. These balls consist of creamy durian purée and fresh milk curd, wrapped in a blanket of sticky glutinous rice and deep-fried till golden brown. This treat is crispy on the outside, yet chewy and creamy on the inside—one is definitely not enough. These mochi balls are exclusively available for dine-in at Min Jiang at Goodwood Park Hotel.
