These pandemic-born passion projects have grown wings and proudly opened their very own brick-and-mortar shops

Two previously online-only concepts are now ready and thrilled to serve guests in the flesh! From the home of chef Chele and Teri Gonzalez came Chef Chele's Kitchen, where this foodie duo cooked up their favourite desserts to share during our many lockdowns. Now, you can visit The Podium Mall to find their brand-spanking new boutique, and taste their classic offerings like the decadent and delicious burnt basque cheesecake plus an extended menu featuring the couple’s prized desserts.

Chef Chele’s Kitchen’s sweet treats are all inspired by family heirloom recipes, each one connected to a meaningful memory. Try their range of family pies like a delicately zesty tarta de limón (Chele’s sister Amparo’s house speciality); a tarta de manzana (his other sibling’s favourite bite), or a stunning tarta de chocolate with caramelised bananas.

Teri excitedly shares her chewy, moist, and crave-worthy cookies with the metro’s foodies. Try out her butter, chunky chocolate, and classic chocolate chip cookies plus some seasonal specials like a ginger-cinnamon creation.

On top of that, the popular Deli by Chele brand, which brought us bottled artisanal goods, cheese, charcuterie, freshly baked bread, sauces, and kombuchas (all made at Gallery by Chele/Stvdio Lab), has now found a permanent home in Power Plant Mall, Rockwell.

Find their lauded brisket or Rueben pastrami, prawn sandwiches, pickles, preserves, house-cured meats, or the whimsical bibingka cheesecake (known as Chika), and indulge with these must-try items. Here, you can comfortably dine in at the deli and experience their food as it should be: fresh out of the kitchen. At their first-ever branch, they proudly serve a new menu that even features unique side dishes and desserts too.

Over the years the Gallery By Chele team has been immersed in the potential of what can be done with local produce. “These discoveries have inspired us to be more environmentally aware and to strive for more sustainable practices. We believe going local is one of the ways to move toward a better future” chef Chele adds. With all that he does, you can rest assured that their products are not made with any artificial preservatives.
