Founded in 2017 by Melbourne-born Terri-Anne who opened the first outlet at Dempsey Hill, Carrotsticks & Cravings still remains a popular spot for many. On August 18, the well-established Australia-inspired brand finally achieved its dream of opening an outlet in the bustling Central Business District. Keeping in mind the needs and lifestyles of nearby patrons, the place is set to become the go-to spot for all-day dining from breakfast and lunch, to post-workout meals, and weekend brunches. With a signature menu brimming with delicious dishes comprising of meticulously-sourced ingredients, the food here is a summery paradise for the health-conscious. The café’s coastal interior completes the immersive island-holiday experience. Walking through the doorway, one can almost feel the gentle caress of a sea breeze and smell the hint of ocean salt. A pleasing burst of pastel green, pink and white, the whimsical space adds a dash of colour and fun to the otherwise monotonous grayscale landscape of Singapore’s city heart.

Conjured by award-winning interior designer Isabelle Miaja, the walls are lined with tropical foliage wallpaper, wood detailing and custom-made patterned textile and dining furniture from Bali, accented with floral table displays, wall-mounted menu boards and quirky retro display pieces. On the hotter days, customers can choose to sit indoors at the coffee bar or at comfy booth seats, while an outdoor patio complete with customised stylish seating from Bali also allows one to enjoy their meal whilst basking under the sun rays.

Bringing exciting and unique culinary experiences to the heart of Asia, the menu here fits in perfectly with that of tropical beach clubs. Striving to deliver the freshest quality in each wholesome dish, every ingredient on the Carrotsticks & Cravings’ menu is carefully-sourced, recipes thoughtfully-conceived, to accommodate varying dietary requirements. For vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or even paleo dieters, fret not, for menu also provides customisable dishes to suit your tastes. Presented under four categories (Morning Specials, Bowls, Open Herb Sourdough and Sandwiches), the selection of fresh bites makes for easy perusal.
Early risers can brighten up the morning with a helping of the outlet-exclusive Stanley Breakfast for 2 ($46), a vibrant representation of the brand’s founder and owner’s Australian and Israeli roots. A cheerful smorgasbord of colours, each platter comes with a generous serving of Israeli salad; finely chopped Roma tomatoes, cucumber, yellow capsicum, red onions and mint leaves tossed in extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), two freshly baked puff pastries filled with cream cheese mixed with dill and lemon juice, oven-roasted eggplant seasoned with flaky sea salt served on homemade hummus topped with whole chickpeas, and four bite-sized falafel patties. On the side, half an avocado; sliced and sprinkled with crumbled feta cheese, a dollop of homemade Labneh and a side of smoked salmon or chicken leg ham.
To complete this sharing experience, the platter also comes with a dough breadbasket, a choice of two eggs; poached, scrambled, sunny side up or omelette, and two coffees.
