Covid-19 travel restrictions have led more of us to channel our wanderlust into local tours, attractions, and of course, staycations. But for pet owners, or ‘pawrents’, it can be difficult to leave your furry friends alone at home, even for just one day. Thankfully, Singapore has its fair share of pet-friendly hotels that not only welcomes cats and dogs but also a five-star experience to pamper them with during their stay.
Read on for the best and most luxurious pet-friendly staycations to book in Singapore.
Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa
Spend your staycation with your furkid in luxury at Amara Sanctuary’s colonial-style Courtyard Suite. The resort’s Pamper Paws package offers a night stay at the suite for two adults and one dog, with buffet breakfast for two, complimentary Wifi throughout the resort, and complimentary amenities for your fur kid curated by Silversky and Stellar. This includes wellness treats, kibbles, pet wipes and more. On top of the spacious courtyard for Fido to run around, the suite is also well-appointed with a jacuzzi and four-poster king-sized bed for pawrents.
Do note, however, that your furry friend has to be accompanied at all times on the resort premises. They are also not allowed at the gym, swimming pool area, and the F&B outlets.

Located on Sentosa Island, Capella Singapore feels like a getaway without leaving the country. Your pet can look forward to lots of playtime on the surrounding beaches, while the rooms and villas, which were recently renovated by André Fu Studio, afford plenty of space for him to run about.
Pet amenities include a stylish rattan bed, food bowls, treats, pet wipes, Smith & Burton natural shampoo and conditioner, toys, and more. You can be assured that your Capella Personal Assistant will take care of any additional needs. We hear there’s even a complimentary cake during the birthday month of your pet.
Recently, the hotel launched a 'Pet Spa-cation' package together with Petpawroni and Addiction Foods, which includes a pampering session for dogs or cats at grooming salon Petpawroni and a selection of food from Raw Alternative, which is made with human-grade ingredients rich in natural flavours and gently air-dried to preserve nutrients at their peak. The special petcation package is available from 1 July 2021 to 31 January 2022.
Remember that only pets below 6kg are permitted at the hotel, and they are to be leashed and accompanied at all times in public areas.

Four Seasons Hotel Singapore
Four Seasons Hotel Singapore invites you to “vacay your way” with family, friends and loved ones, including your pets, of course. Not only does the hotel offer kid-friendly amenities, there’s also something for your fur kids if they tag along. This includes their very own pet towels, embroidered with their name, a comfortable pet bed, pet bowl, and bottled water.
If you decide to bring your pet, do note that only one pet weighing no more than 7kg is allowed per room. Dogs must be leashed and accompanied at all time, and they are not allowed at the hotel’s indoor F&B outlets, health club, and pool area. You can enjoy a daily hotel credit of 30 per cent of the room rate, however, which can be used towards in-room dining with your pet. The staycation package also offers complimentary parking for one vehicle, and a complimentary upgrade to the next available room category, if you are staying on weekdays.
While you can't bring your pets to the restaurants inside, they are warmly welcomed at the newly opened Garden @ One-Ninety—an outdoor dining venue that takes inspiration from the nearby Singapore Botanic Gardens. The verdant restaurant has a wellness-focused menu, including plenty of plant-based options and a robust selection of zero-proof drinks, too.

What does the Paw-Fect Staycation at Intercontinental Singapore sound like? One night’s accommodation at the beautifully-decorated Heritage Room or Suite for two adults and one furkid; a set of welcome amenities (for canines); a plush pet bed; gourmet treats; and an exclusive pet-friendly menu. And if you have two dogs, you can bring them both along—the hotel accommodates two dogs with a combined weight of up to 15kg, or a dog or cat weighing no more than 10kg. Do note that additional sets of amenities are chargeable, however.
And while your furkid is luxuriating amongst his toys and treats, pawrents can also enjoy breakfast for two, complimentary Wifi, and $50 in-room dining credits. You can also enjoy 20 per cent off non-promotional ala-carte menu items at Ash & Elm, Man Fu Yuan and The Lobby Lounge, but your pets will not be allowed in the hotel’s F&B outlets, as well as the gym, pool area, and Club InterContinental Lounge. They’ll also need to be leashed or in a carrier when they are outside the room.
