Mud crawls, barbed wires and monkey bars... the obstacle-filled Spartan Race will be back with three race options this November 2021
Looking for a challenge? Spartan Race, the famed sports competition that features difficult obstacles such as mud crawls, fire jumps and monkey bars, will be held at Kam Tin Country Club in Yuen Long from November 20 to 21.
This year, Spartan Race will be offering three race options: Sprint, Kids, and Virtual Trail. Sprint will be the main event and racers can choose to compete in either the Elite, Age Group or Open division. Spanning 5km, the race will test racers’ endurance and strength through 20 different obstacles.

The Kids race, which is modelled after the classic Sprint competition, is categorised into two divisions: Open, which 4 to 13 years olds can sign up to; or Competitive, where only children aged 10 to 13 are allowed to enter. Unlike the classic Sprint, however, the children’s race will be shorter at 1.6km and 3km, with 10 to 15 obstacles weaved in.
If monkey bars and burpees aren’t your favourite way to spend the weekend, you can enter the Virtual Trail Race instead. Racers can choose from the 10k or half marathon (21k) option, and self record their race to submit to Spartan upon completion. Taking place on Hong Kong Island, the race will begin from Wan Chai and end at the Peak plaza.
