2025 年元宵節就在 2 月 12 日。

元宵節,又稱為上元節、元夜、元夕、小正月、小年或春燈節,是農曆新年的第一個月圓之夜,是祭月、賞月的日子,也象徵著春天的到來,這是傳統定義的新年最後一天。關於元宵節的由來,說法很多,最早可追溯至秦漢時代。秦末就有:「正月十五燃燈祭祀道教太乙神」之說。本稱「上元」,是農民祈求豐收的日子,也是道教的天官誕。人們在田野持火把驅趕蟲獸,希望減輕蟲害,祈禱獲得好收成。在華人習俗中,元宵節的傳統習俗包括「猜燈謎」,人們會把一些謎語或腦筋急轉彎之類的問題寫到紙上,然後用細線把每個問題掛在房頂上,之後讓人們來猜謎。

1. 元宵節才是中國真正的情人節?

由於古代女性不能隨意出門,只有元宵節賞花燈等時候可以出去走走,未婚男女都因此有機會認識異性,進而成為情人,所以就有歷史學家表示「元宵節這天才是真正的情人節」。

同時根據歷史上的幾位詩人所做的詩也可以加以佐證,包含歐陽修的《生查子》:「去年元夜時,花市燈如晝;月上柳梢頭,人約黃昏後。今年元夜時,月與燈依舊。不見去年人,淚濕春衫袖。」清楚點出了在元宵節約會的心情;而知名的辛棄疾的《青玉案》:「東風夜放花千樹,更吹落星如雨。寶馬雕車香滿路,鳳簫聲動,玉壺光轉,一夜魚龍舞。 蛾兒雪柳黃金縷,笑語盈盈暗香去。眾裏尋他千百度,驀然回首,那人卻在燈火闌珊處。」最後的這三個句子:「眾裏尋他千百度,驀然回首,那人卻在燈火闌珊處。」更是清楚寫出元宵節的戀愛氛圍,由上述可見,元宵節才是中國的情人節。

至於七夕,是紀念牛郎織女相會的節日,但牛郎織女已經結婚生子,所以是夫妻而不是未婚的情人,所以嚴格來說七夕應為夫妻節。

2. 元宵節這天是求財日?

自古以來就有「寄天庫、還地庫、補水庫」儀式,這裡的天、地、水指的就是財庫,而上元節又稱為元宵節,同時這天可是位階僅次於玉皇大帝的三官大帝(三界公)生日,只要這天用心祈福,必能補年頭運,旺整個上半年的財運。

3. 元宵節單身女子要「偷菜」?

未婚女性在元宵節夜裡,以偷蔥來討個結婚吉兆的說法,俗語說:「偷挽蔥,嫁好翁;偷挽菜,嫁好婿」。

4. 為什麼這天要吃湯圓?

傳說吃湯圓的歷史最早可回朔自宋代,由於元宵節正處年頭時期,形狀圓潤的「元宵」有團圓、圓滿的意思,古代人習慣在這個節日品嚐象徵團圓幸福的湯圓應景。

5. 元宵這天求子嗣特別靈驗?

​​已婚婦女若為求子嗣,元宵會到奉祀註生娘娘的廟裡參拜外,另外「燈」字,台語與客語發音皆同「丁」,傳說婦女若鑽過或穿越燈籠底,除了能祈求一年幸運外,能夠保佑添丁生子。若已婚婦女不想鑽燈籠,傳說在元宵夜裡看月亮月,讓身體沐浴在月娘的光輝之下,也有機會受孕。

6. 元宵節「點燈」由來源自印度?

關於花燈的由來,有一說是因為明帝提倡佛法,適逢蔡愔從印度求得佛法歸來,稱印度摩喝陀國每逢正月十五,僧眾雲集瞻仰佛舍利,是參佛的吉日良辰。漢明帝為了弘揚佛法,下令正月十五夜在宮中和寺院「燃燈表佛」。自此,正月十五夜燃燈的習俗隨著佛教文化影響及道教文化的擴大,漸漸成為華人習俗之一。

7. 以前元宵這天有放假?

據說以前元宵這天是會放假的,漢朝:放假一天;唐朝:放假三天;宋朝:放假五天;甚至直到明朝還放到二十天。根據了解,明太宗和明宣宗爺孫兩代親自下詔書,放假十日,自初八開始點燈,直到正月十七夜裏才落燈,整整十天,與春節相接、宣德四年、五年、八年更還把假期增加到了二十天。

8. 元宵這天是古代的狂歡日?

古代為了方便管理居民,大部分都有「宵禁」過了一定的時辰便不可以外出,唯獨元宵節這天例外,百姓可以夜晚外出玩樂,同時還有一說元宵這天晚睡還能「長命百歲」。
