Justin Bieber leads the nomination with seven nods while Megan Thee Stallion earned six nominations. Following in tow are Billie Eilish, BTS, Doja Cat, Drake, Giveon, Lil Nas X and Olivia Rodrigo who all have five nominations each.

First time nominee, Olivia Rodrigo will be one of the performers this year. Others include Lorde, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Nas X, Foo Fighters and Camila Cabello who have been announced as performers earlier.

Newly added to the performance lineup include Shawn Mendes, Doja Cat, Kacy Musgraves, Twenty One Pilots and Chlöe Bailey (of Chlöe x Halle), who will be making her solo debut with the TV premiere of Have Mercy, one of the songs of her upcoming album.

Kacy Musgraves is debuting at the VMAs stage with Star-Crossed, the lead single of her upcoming eponymous album. Meanwhile, Twenty One Pilots is gearing up to perform Saturday, their latest song which is also nominated in the Best Alternative category.

Shawn Mendes, who is nominated for Best Pop, will perform his latest single, Summer of Love.

Doja Cat, who earned five nominations this year as well as one of the performers, will also be the host of this year’s VMAs.

Bruce Gilmer and Jesse Ignjatovic, co-founder of Den of Thieves, who have produced the past five VMAs serve as executive producers. Meanwhile, Barb Bialkowski is the co-executive producer while Alicia Portugal and Jackie Barba will be executives in charge of production.

Wendy Plaut is the executive in charge of celebrity talent and Lisa Lauricella serves as music talent executive.
