Ready for haunted houses, dressing up, trick or treating and more? Here's how you can celebrate the spooky season in Singapore this year

Halloween as a celebration has become increasingly popular in Singapore in recent years; many of us look forward to this time of the year for fun, spooky activities, trick or treating, and playing dress-up.

This month, with the pandemic more or less behind us, spooky season is bigger and better than it has ever been before. From the long-awaited return of Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights to themed cruises, here’s how you can celebrate the holiday this month.

1. Have Some Spooky Fun at Superpark’s Super Spook 2022

What: Superpark Singapore is back for more Halloween fun this year with Super Spook 2022. Watch as its skate and scoot park is transformed into a spooky haunted maze and expect terrifying encounters at its pumpkin-themed bouncy castle and more.

2. Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights 10

What: Evil has returned quite literally to Universal Studios Singapore this year with the 10th edition of Halloween Horror Nights, which will be happening from September 30 to November 5. 

Across 19 nights, horror fans can explore haunted houses, navigate scare zones, battle it out in terrifying laser tag games with a twist, enjoy spooky dining experiences and so much more.

3. Go Trick or Treating at the Museum of Ice Cream

What: If you love the spooky season but would rather avoid jumpscares and haunted houses, we have just the event for you. Museum of Ice Cream’s Halloween Event is a spooky but kid-friendly experience that features trick or treating, 14 interactive installations and a whole host of activities. 

When: October 1 to 30

4. Go on a Halloween-Themed Cruise

What: Trapped on a cruise ship with clowns, monsters and more? What could be better for a horror fan than that? This spooky season, Genting Dream will be hosting a thematic cruise that will creature a horror maze, themed cabins, Halloween-inspired food and so much more all out at sea.

5. Have Fun at X-SCAP8’s Halloween Xtravaganza

What: If you are looking for the fright of your life, you have to visit X-SCAP8 for their Halloween Xtravaganza. Featuring three different fright zones, thrill-seekers can look forward to terrifying obstacle courses, rope courses, mind-bending games and more.

6. Attend a Halloween Candlelight Concert

What: This one is certainly not for the faint of heart. If you love a good orchestra, you’ll want to check out the Haw Par Villa candlelight Halloween concert, a chilling evening with songs such as Thriller from Michel Jackson, Psycho by Bernard Hermann and more.
