From spooky activities to exciting exhibitions and dance parties, October is full of exciting activities that we have handpicked just for you

Time is really flying by and it is officially everyone’s favourite spooky month, October. From Deepavali celebrations to the Halloween horror festivities, there is much to be excited about this month. 

This October, we have a host of incredible Halloween events such as Universal Studios’ classic Halloween Horror Nights 10 and Genting Dream’s Halloween-themed cruise. If scary stuff is not up your alley, we also have dance parties at Marina Bay Sands as well as art exhibitions by masters such as Lim Tze Peng.

1. Superpark’s Super Spook 2022

What: Superpark Singapore is back for more Halloween fun this year with Super Spook 2022. Watch as its skate and scoot park is transformed into a spooky haunted maze and expect terrifying encounters at its pumpkin-themed bouncy castle and more.

2. Pelago’s Silent Disco In The Sky

What: Silent Disco Asia returns to our shores after a two-and-a-half-year hiatus. This time, they are 56 floors above the ground atop the iconic SkyPark Observation Deck at Marina Bay Sands. 

Expect three live DJs to be spinning to three different genres that you can experience from 10 pm to 2 am on selected nights.

3. Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights 10

What: Evil has returned quite literally to Universal Studios Singapore this year with the 10th edition of Halloween Horror Nights, which will be happening from September 30 to November 5. 

Across 19 nights, horror fans can explore haunted houses, navigate scare zones, battle it out in terrifying laser tag games with a twist, enjoy spooky dining experiences and so much more.

4. Lim Tze Peng’s From Then To Now: Capturing Life Exhibit

What: Lim Tze Peng is a legend who continues to paint scenes from Singapore’s yesteryears regularly despite turning 101 years old this year. Now, Ode To Art gallery has specially handpicked 50 artworks to be featured for the first time in his latest solo exhibition, titled From Then To Now: Capturing Life

5. Genting Dream’s Halloween Cruise

What: Trapped on a cruise ship with clowns, monsters and more? What could be better for a horror fan than that? This spooky season, Genting Dream will be hosting a thematic cruise that will creature a horror maze, themed cabins, Halloween-inspired food and so much more all out at sea.

When: October 16 to November 2

6. Museum of Ice Cream’s Halloween Event

What: If you love the spooky season but would rather avoid jumpscares and haunted houses, we have just the event for you. Museum of Ice Cream’s Halloween Event is a spooky but kid-friendly experience that features trick or treating, 14 interactive installations and a whole host of activities. 

When: October 1 to 30

7. Jurong Bird Park’s A Flight To Remember

What: If you haven’t heard, Jurong Bird Park will be closing its doors on January 3, 2023, and will begin preparations to move to a brand-new home in Bird Paradise at Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Before it closes, the bird park will be celebrating the end of its 52-year-long legacy with A Flight To Remember. 

Guests will be invited to take a walk down memory lane with nostalgic dining experiences, limited-edition merchandise and dedicated tours.

8. Jesse Marlow’s Anything Can Happen and Probably Will.

What: This month, Leica Galerie Singapore presents a brand new exhibition by Jesse Marlow. Titled Anything Can Happen and Probably Will, the exhibition series is set in the urban environment and inspired by the banality of modern-day existence.

The series will explore themes of suburbia, abandonment, and daily rituals.

When: August 27 to November 4

9. ArtScience Museum's We Live in an Ocean of Air Installation

What: This month, ArtScience Museum will continue to hold its latest virtual reality exhibition, We Live in an Ocean of Air. The installation is an immersive multi-sensory art installation created by Marshmallow Laser Feast, one of the world’s leading experiential art collectives.

It highlights the symbiotic relationship between animals, plants, and humans and allows us to confront our ecosystems in a unique and immersive way.
