Have a laugh at some of the funniest Saturday Night Life skits ever aired on TV
Saturday Night Live (SNL) has screened some of the funniest sketches featuring many celebrities and personalities, all while providing a different take on various issues and events. More than a comedy show, SNL has welcomed several comedians into the roster. Oftentimes, those who joined the show have made a name for themselves, ultimately becoming one of the biggest stars we know today such as Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler, and Steve Martin.
If you need some cheering up, check out some of the most hilarious skits on the show below:
Every Girlfriend’s Talk Show Ever
Aidy Bryant, who often plays younger roles, is brilliant in playing Morgan in the recurring sketch, "Every Girlfriend’s Talk Show Ever". In the skit, Morgan and her best friend Kyra host a TV show. But Kyra invites a different best friend (played by guest stars such as Scarlett Johansson, Anne Hathaway, and more) making things a bit uncomfortable.
Bryant will make you laugh as she cleverly portrays the disdain and awkwardness that a younger child would feel at that very moment with witty lines and great comedic timing.
Unfortunately, Bryant won't be able to return as Morgan as she's leaving SNL. She bid farewell to the show in a subtle way while doing the "Weekend Update" segment with Bowen Yang while playing the Trend Forecasters characters.

Herb Welch
It's impossible to keep a straight face when Bill Hader enters the scene in a skit. He has played characters in the show like Stefon, but one of the roles that he plays well is the elderly news reporter Herb Welch who's tasked to interview civilians on the scene. Hader's accent and mannerisms are spot-on, making every bit hilarious, regardless of the guest star featured.
Most times, the actor would commit to a role so well that he and the cast end up breaking character, sending them into fits of laughter (which can be difficult to hide in front of a live audience).
Close Encounters
Kate McKinnon is renowned for impersonating Justin Bieber, Ellen DeGeneres, and Hilary Clinton. But aside from impersonating real people, McKinnon also knows how to crack up a crowd by playing disturbed characters like the abductee from "Close Encounters". The skit begins the same way it always does: two government staff interview three witnesses who claim to have been abducted by aliens. Their stories vary, but none of it is as ridiculous and hysterical as McKinnon's.

But it's not just the detailed narration that makes viewers laugh, it's also the actress' ability to disappear into the character and her impressive execution, making every punchline a hit. Recently, McKinnon reprised her role in an emotional send-off. In the new skit, the actress finally reunites with the aliens. But as she ascends the UFO, she couldn't help but deliver her last line with teary eyes.
Chad
Pete Davidson's monologues are some of his best appearances on SNL, considering that the star is also a stand-up comedian. It was also during his "Weekend Update" monologue when the comic said his goodbyes beside Colin Jost.
But fans will always associate Davidson with his recurring character, Chad. In every "Chad" segment, Davidson nails the laconic "chill guy" role. In most cases, Chad often answers to people with the same lines: "okay", "cool", and "uh-huh". He's often thrown into dramatic scenes. This makes Chad and other characters' dynamics very interesting—not to mention hilarious—to watch.
New Disney Movie
Out of all the sketches aired on SNL, one of the bits that stuck with the audience is the "New Disney Movie". It's a parody of popular action movies with the likes of Fast and Furious, considering the skit features Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, meshed with a plot that's linked with the Disney cartoon film, Bambi. The bit follows the story of Bambi taking revenge for his mother, a deer who was shot by a hunter.
