Rosewood's Asaya is debunking myths and helping individuals and couples improve their intimate lives with new sexual wellbeing courses led by Hong Kong sex coach Sara Tang

Looking to improve your skills in the bedroom? Asaya at Rosewood has launched new sexual wellbeing coaching and workshops to debunk sex myths, and help couples or individuals improve their sexual confidence and address other intimacy issues. The luxury spa enlisted Hong Kong sex coach Sara Tang, who has made a career out of helping others become better in bed and overcome inhibitions and cultural taboos around sex.

Private 90-minute coaching sessions are specially designed according to each individual or couple’s goals. They might cover communication skills that will help you feel more confident raising suggestions and concerns to your partner in the bedroom; how to identify and break patterns that will lead to more fulfilling sex; or what to do about painful sex, mismatched libido, poor body image, low desire or lack of orgasms.

Tang will also be offering interactive educational workshops for small groups of participants to learn about sex, relationships and other sensitive topics in a safe environment. In these workshops, participants will get a hands-on opportunity to learn the tools to become more confident in the bedroom.

Hong Kong has been making recent strides in openly discussing taboo topics such as sex, menstruation and mental health, though the city still tends to be conservative in nature. Rosewood’s embrace of sex as part of the definition of wellbeing is another step forward.

The luxury hotel promises there will be more innovative programming to come. “The launch of these workshops comes from Corinna being the new wellness director, after over a decade at COMO luxury hotel group, and her renewed focus on holistic wellness across emotional, mental and physical,” Asaya tells Tatler.

There are plans in the works to explore male menopause and how sexuality comes into play, along with hormonal balancing, physical activity and general mental wellness. Other offerings will include a post-natal campaign focused on emotional and mental struggles, within which sexuality will play a strong role, and the introduction of Women’s Circles which will integrate all kinds of health issues.

“Asaya is much more than a spa, and I think during Covid—as everyone did—we went into survival mode. Now that we’re out the other side, you’re going to be seeing a lot more holistic and therapeutic workshops launching.”

Asaya’s sexual wellbeing coaching and workshops with Sara Tang are available for booking every Thursday from 12 to 8pm through December 16, 2021. Learn more at rosewoodhotels.com
