The intimate evening, which saw the attendance of Panerai’s CEO Jean-Marc Pontroué, marks the first in a series of exclusive events to build a community of watch enthusiasts

Watch lovers and friends of Tatler came together on a Friday evening for Tatler Singapore’s first Tatler Watch Club event, hosted in collaboration with Panerai. The Tatler Watch Club is a new platform aimed at engaging with and building a qualified community of watch enthusiasts who are looking to learn more about watches and to increase their knowledge. Members of this invite-only watch community will gain access to curated events such as exclusive first looks at new novelties, watchmaking workshops, social networking with like-minded people and meeting with industry experts.

For this inaugural event, Tatler and Panerai invited guests to The NCO Club, a 1950s heritage building located in Singapore’s art and culture district, to discover Panerai’s novelties for the year as well as to meet with the Italian watch manufacturer’s CEO, Jean-Marc Pontroué.

The evening began with Tatler’s editor-in-chief Aun Koh welcoming everyone with a few words and introducing Pontroué, who then shared some of Panerai’s highlight projects and initiatives, as well as presented some of the key novelties that the brand had launched this year, some of which were unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2023. Thereafter, Tatler’s associate editor Annabel Tan moderated a Q&A session with Pontroué, where guests had the chance to ask the CEO anything about the brand and its watches.

Following a toast to the special evening, guests were able to get hands-on with the watches from Panerai’s 2023 collection. Highlights included the new Radiomir California, Radiomir Annual Calendar, Luminor Due Pastello and many more.

In addition to discovering the timepieces, guests mingled over negronis and Italian bites such as mushroom risotto and freshly shaved parma ham, in a nod to Panerai’s Italian roots. Tipples and conversation flowed throughout the evening, as bonds were formed and strengthened over a shared passion for watches.
